Yesterday's blues
Good morning!
:nailbiting:AMPS 94 :D shooting .1u
Boomer ate his +6 and +9 foods (about 75% CPC) all by himself last night! So proud of my boy! :cat::rolleyes: And I got up at 5:10 (+9) this morning, picked up his dish, went btb and actually went back to sleep :joyful:

So far I haven't found anyone else that feeds the Wild Calling Salmon. Some Beans have told me their babies didn't like it or it made them vomit! Anyways, it does seem that it's the culprit for making Boomer's levels go up. Yesterday I emailed Wild Callings and got a response that indicated their numbers were up to date and the matched the last formula change. So idk.....the only other thing I can think of is that, even though he likes the salmon, maybe it is upsetting his tummy which drives his levels up. There were no signs of that although I'm not the one that changes the litters and DH doesn't always remember to mention a loose poo, hard poo, or no poo situation:rolleyes:

We did get out for a walk yesterday; it wasn't totally productive there weren't a lot of birds around except for ducks and geese. We did see two types of ducks in the river that we've never seen before; I couldn't get a good photo as they were too far away and I haven't been able to identify them yet. And this guy (see picture) adopted us and I believe would have followed us on our walk except he seemed very clumsy and couldn't seem to figure out how to get down from the railing:rolleyes: He did lose his balance a few times which caused the wing flap which I was happy to capture with my camera! I'm not sure what type of bird this is, it was the size of a Canada goose but I had people tell me on facebook last night that it's a Muscovy duck. They're native to Mexico so not too sure it's the correct id.

Love the goose! Glad that Boomer is lower this am for you Judy. I don't know if Salmon increases Shoes bg but it definitely doesn't sit well with him as he will vomit after eating salmon. It may not be immediately, but it happens. I just don't think it agrees with him at all. Other types of fish do not seem to bother him.

Good job Boomer! Do you feed other brands of Salmon? That duck is soo cute, poor guy is super lost and probably freezing if he's a Mexico native. Glad you got a nice walk in yesterday. Keep it green Boomer :D:D

What a great photo of that bird, never seen anything like it! I've been fortunate enough to attend a couple of events up here with Paul Bannick the conservation photographer. Not sure if you know of him or if he's more of a Pacific NW treasure.
Boomers numbers are so great. I was wondering what needles you use and I think I saw in a post that you use calipers. Uncle is on a micro dose as well and I would like to ask you a couple of questions re. measuring.

Hi Barbara....sure ask away! I don't use callipers and I use BD Ultra-Fine II 3/10ml 8mm 31g
It's not easy to fine dose, that's for sure! I'm trying to get just a hair under the top line, so daylight is visible between the top line and the top of the plunger but just barely. I find with the syringes the top few lines are sometimes on an angle so of course that makes it challenging!
Ask any questions and I'll try to help....you can ask here or pm me if you prefer!

Beautiful pic, it is a Muscovy. Easily identifiable due to the caruncles on its face - the red lumpy mask. Someone I know had a rescued one as a beloved companion for many years. She even had nappies for him so he could hang around inside the house. He was adorable, so much character.
