Alley's appetite is still pretty sketchy but she's a bit more social since I got her blood sugar down from neighborhood of 600 (it was 580 at the vet on Tuesday). It's a fortunate coincidence that it was time to make her food yesterday, so I really cranked up the fat content so that she's getting the same calories in 160 grams of food than she usually gets in 250 grams, plus Alley loves herself some fat!
The extra fatty food isn't lost on Sophie. She's really doing her best impression of a pathetic beggar whenever Alley's food comes out.
Sophie: "Daddy! My pancreas hurts! I has the beetus!"
Me: "It doesn't work like that, you're fine. You don't have diabetes.
Sophie: "Then can I have some of Alley's food?"
