Good morning everyone

Had some sort of setback overnight and Tansi was suddenly ill when we got up. He was very lethargic, not eating, and shivering.
Emergency vet found both his heartrate and temperature lower than normal. Vomiting bile. Abdomen seems painful on palpation .
Bloodwork shows nothing abnormal besides glucose.
Xray shows small amount of gastrointestinal matter, not enough to form a blockage and probably a snack during the night.
Giving him subq fluid for mild dehydration and cerenia injection for nausea.
Thankfully bringing him home shortly.
Will recheck glucose tonite. No ketones.

I am assuming that would show in the bloodwork? Would it?
He us much better now.

Maybe. The gold standard is a Snap or Spec fPLI. The Spec fPLI gets sent out to IDEXX. The Snap test is done in the office. You don't get a value -- it's like a pregnancy test, you get either a "+" or "-".
