Shadows vet report

Afternoon!

Shadow and I got up at 2 am til 5 am for lots of purrs and cuddles. My DH woke me up and then started storing..... :YMSIGH:
always try to get extra time with her when I can ( especially if I can't sleep) and I have felt a bit deprived in my time with her with all the
highly taxing work around here trying to get my DGM settled here at home and my DM more settled in the nursing home. My house looks like their
house right now... ( hoarding show , anyone?) and I need a third storage unit or superwoman energy. ( I have neither at the moment)
I was thinking I needed a padded cell.

Today is my DD's 18th birthday.
I just made her blackened red trout with crawfish enchilada con queso sauce ( added mushrooms and avocado)
and my DH is making her a pecan pie.
Both were her requests....
Then we are going to see the Hobbit. ( she saw it already but wants to go again and the rest of us haven't seen it yet)


And I did ask the vet we saw on Thursday......
isn't the definition of a crazy cat lady someone with multiple cats.....?
My DH likes to call me one and I keep telling him that refers to quantity.... I have only one.... Shadow. The vet agreed with my definition. ;-)

Hi Rhiannon, I'm glad you got some cuddle time with Shadow, even if it was the middle of the night @-) Sending you energy vines, it would make anyone feel overwhelmed what you are doing, and you are awesome Enjoy the dinner and movie with your family. I hope you have a great time!

I think you should wear the title "Crazy cat lady" with pride and honor!! Being a crazy cat lady used to mean living in a broken down house on top of a deserted road with creepy looking trees all around that the neighborhood kids were scared to approach...and 200 or more cats

I've come to realize lately though, that one diabetic cat can push one right over the edge into "craziness"

We're ALL "crazy cat ladies/gentlemen" and proud of it!!

Nice you got some cuddle time with Shadow and hope you enjoy your evening out with family. Happy 18th to the DD too!

(and if you find those magic energy pills, maybe you could send me some? My cleaning fairy was mugged by the dust bunnies and she won't return, so it's all up to me now)

Hey Rhiannon - I have been away from the forums for a bit but I wanted to check up on Shadow's vetty visit. Not too horrible. I'm sure her hips are pretty uncomfortable. Adequan and Cosequin should help quite a bit, I think. Buster is only on the Adequan for now, but he's only slightly arthritic. I was using the Dasuquin, too, but I don't like that stuff. Amen to round filing that stuff.

Hope you get your house back in order soon. Clutter can be so stressful somehow. Happy birthday to your DD! That meal sounds delish!!
