Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty is back in his normal AMPS zone. He had a good night and ate most of his nighttime food, but this morning he is not interested in breakfast. We had a good schmooze/snooze, however, and then a combing. He had good appetite during our Xmas visit, so I'm hoping he'll regain it now that he's home.

It's a dreary, warm day outside (the "January thaw" is early this season). We had more rain last night and the snow is really a mess. It's supposed to get much colder, and that will bring ice.

I'm still trying to figure out aspects of the new board. Has anyone explored "conversations"? Have "conversations" started from scratch, or were only a few of the saved PMs transferred from the old board? I see only 3 of my "conversations" and they are all very old.

I'm trying to link my yesterday's condo to this one, but only the title shows up.
(edited to say that the link works the same way as before. Click on the title! (the absence of the URL was what confused me.)

To do a link:
1) copy the URL
2) in the new post, type a key word or phase, like Previously
3) highlight the word or phrase
4) click on the little chain link icon
5) past in the URL you copied.

You will see the word or phrase; when you click on it, it will go to the linked page.

Ella - 'warm' day? Yeah right...still freezing I'm sure....BRRRRR! PM's are now 'conversations'. I do see lots of my old pm's in my inbox but don't know if it's all, haven't poked around enough. I couldn't figure out how to find the URL to yesterday's condo while I was writing today's post...you've got a leg up on me!

Ha! I neglected to click on the box for "show all" in the "Inbox" ("conversations"). Indeed, they are all there!! Lyresa, I think that the reason I thought I could edit your spreadsheet is that your URL for your spreadsheet contains "ccc". The spreadsheets that have "pub" instead of "ccc" don't have the editing tools across the top. (your spreadsheet is still read-only; not to worry). I'm not sure how you go about changing ccc to pub, however. Marje's instructions in the Tech Forum are for people creating new spreadsheets and the URLs look different in the newer Google docs.
When I posed the question about ccc and pub last night I received the following from Carl:

"Yes, Ella, I think it was the same way on the old board. That's the primary reason the instructions say to make it "published to the web" (pub). The other issue with "ccc" type SS's is that they seem to take longer to load. And, if you use Google Docs a lot outside of FDMB, those with "ccc" in them will show up on your Google Docs main page under "your docs", and that can make the pile of documents that belong to you hard to manage."
 
Morning Ella! Well they started the same, but I hope Rusty doesn't follow Tess after that. I don't know if it's the new fuds or normal rise. It was a +2 test not the normal +3.

If you want to use the old smilies go to the old board and open the "more smilies" window from a reply page. You can leave just that open. When you want one of the smilies, control click (or two finger tap if you have a touch pad) on the icon you want. A pop up list will open, select "copy image address". In the post you are writing click the image button and paste the Url you copied in the blank field. You will see the icon in the text you are writing.

Groaned at your weather report. Hate when what was once soft beautiful snow becomes topped with a frozen crust. Ahhhhh, Wisconsin memories.

Well, Rusty's bg isn't moving much today. Maybe we're in for flat blue. He did eat his lunch, but breakfast went by the boards.

Flat blue cat paddling around in the Blue Grotto. Rusty actually didn't eat much of his lunch, so I threw it away and gave him some Dave's 95% turkey to try. He didn't like that. At dinner I opened a new can of FF T&G (his standby) and he ate quite a bit (and all of his freezedried turkey treats). I think he's still tired from the Xmas trip and maybe a bit under the weather. Hopefully he'll finish the FF T&G on the couch this evening, while we watch "Downton Abbey". Almost time for that!!

Nice grotto day for Rusty...nice and flat!!!

On the old SSs, the only thin a person has to do is just change the "ccc" in the link to "pub". The new Google sheets, as you said, are different and when the SS generates and the CG clicks "start publishing to the web" then the link is to a view only copy.

Rusty would get a Mr. Greenie on the old board. The LagoonMeister is on duty.:D:D. I hope he has better appetite tonight. He seems to be perking up.

We love Ziwi Peak, in fact I have just returned from stocking up. There's only one supplier in the whole of Western Australia and it's quite a trip so I've just bought 7 slabs. It's better if I buy in bulk anyway, that way I forget the pain of how expensive it is after the first couple of weeks - hahaha! All the flavours contain green mussel so I'm not sure if that would stir up Rusty's allergies. We like it because it is good for their joints. Ziwi Peak is by far the best canned cat food I've ever seen, there's nothing in there that shouldn't be. Have you checked out their website, it's here you could email them to ask about Rusty's allergies.
