Decided to open a new pen of Lantus this morning since I didn't see any movement after the dose increase. I shot 1.25 instead of 1.25f. Hopefully the combination of new insulin and an increase will be Milo out of the pink!!! Otherwise, he is still doing well. All P's in place yesterday. He wasn't purring for me this mroning when I was testing him, but he is so good at running to his "testing" spot and waiting on me to get ready.

I guess a trip to Walmart is in my future today. I received an email that there has been a recall of Relion Ultima test strips and of course the box I just opened is part of the recall. I guess the strips can give falsely low readings...With Milo being i the pink as it is, I sure hope those are not falsely low!!!

I called the number yesterday and they are mailing out new strips asap I do not use the ultima daily anyway it takes more blood then I wanted so I bought the confirm works better for Do Lou Abbot was really nice getting the issue of the recall took care of on the phone. Hope the new pen helps Milo's numbers ;-)

Lisa,

Based on your response, I called the number this morning and was told I would be contacted in 24-48 hours with a pharmacy location where I could exchange my box. They are not mailing it to me...??? I found this strange since you are getting yours mailed to you. I really don't think my box is affected, but I have only used about 5-10 strips, so who knows. It makes more sense to get a new box, but what a pain!!!

Good luck with the strip exchange. Right you are - it can be such a pain. I hope it goes smoothly.

have a great day guys! Hey Milo - maybe some yellows and blues for you today?

hey...Milo! down to the lower floors for you!

i'm embarassed to admit i expected something TOTALLY different when you mentioned "Strip" exchange...
