it has been a good one here yesterday. I enjoy our mornings here before we all get so busy and take off for the day,. The boys will lay together, well Nicholas will show William how to do things, and give him toys to play with. It really is kinda cute. He is then off to do his thing,. These days he makes me drawings, which we post on the frig door. I have a Nicholas art gallery! Breffis continues to be a highlight. Nicholas loves his waffles, bacon and fruit. Cherries have now been added to the berry lineup. William so wants some, but the poor guy is stuck with his pureed veggies, At least for now. We had a great day, eventually heading out to the aquarium. Here;s what I wrote last night about the day: "Happy Furday night everyone, I hope your Furday was a good one. Ours was great! We ended up making it an indoor day. Weather here has been such a mixed bag today. Fog in the morning, with a few sun breaks, clouds moved in, rains came, sky drama occurred, and now it's a mixture of everything, and 44. The winds picked up something fierce when we got the the waterfront today, that was really cold there. We ended up at the Aquarium today. That place is rapidly becoming our fall back spot to go. I really debated about heading out on up Hwy 2, through Gold Bar to Skykomish, and make a few river stops. I just couldn't confirm the lack of rains, and that it would get out of the 30's. Most places there right now are at a high 30's. oh well.... we can always go next week too. This afternoon Nicholas tells me that he really misses the rivers, and can we go please. Guess we need to get there.... so anyways.... off to the Aquarium we went, once again. It was a good time, he knows that place so well, has a plan on what to see today, spend time with, once he walks in the door. William just follows, watches what big bro does. We saw just about everything, made several loops through the place until he was just too tired to do anymore. He is beat. It has been along past few days for him, with stimulus overload from Christmas and his birthday. Amazing how well he does when he is maxed out like that. We focused alot on the tropical fish today, it was the area of choice. it is interesting that it varies each time we go. Enjoy your Friday night everyone! pizza here - YUM!" and yes.... that pizza was darn good!

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!   It is oddly quiet here this morning.... too quiet.... It seems this is the norm every Caturday... hmmmm... somehow I remember writing this last Caturday too. And the Caturday before that. What is up with the quiet Caturdays???? ;-) :? Well, I won't complain. They were good kitties yesterday. Lola was Lola, made up for all that resting in the morning with several marathon runs in the evening, and more trips up the tree. I really wonder what will happen here when that tree comes down.... she will have lost her bestest ever toy!   Bug has really become my cuddle kitty. He comes for lap sits in the evening, and makes sure he comes to bed when I head on down to the bedroom. He will spend the night there snuggled up against my legs. Elsa still is my pillow stealer, she too never misses. My head will never ever get cold at night - she wraps herself from ear to ear.   It is amazing that I can sleep through that. You gotta love it all. for sure: Normalcy in MusketeerVille!!

Lately Nicholas has a new saying, that I have been hearing alot lately. "We have to be quiet... they are sleeping" . When asked who is sleeping his reply is always "Mannie is sleeping, so we must be quiet. He is sleeping in his garden. So we should be quiet." That is always followed by "I miss Mannie. I want him to come inside so I can see him. But he has to stay in his garden. I miss Mannie" . oh my..... It still is amazing to me that a just turned 3 yr old can keep a memory alive like that. They were truly best friends, soul mates. I don't think he will ever forget Mannie. They were inseparable, in life and in spirit. There is a part of me that truly feels Mannie makes sure he visits his friend, every night, morning, whenever it is. Love ya Mannie - I knew you'd never be far away.

Have a great day everyone. it is a for sure catch up day here: shopping, errands, laundry and some cleaning. And recovery time. I thoroughly enjoyed having both boys these past days, but need some regroup time.  So that shall be today. That and an afternoon walk, to the shore I hope! We are still wet and rainy, snows are gone, but we will go when and if there is a weather break. YaHOO!

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!! cat_pet_icon

I hope you get that walk in today. It sounds really good, too bad we still have a lot of snow here. I bet Lola will miss the tree, but I bet she will also quickly find something else to keep herself busy ;-) She doesn't seem like a kitty to sit idle. I hope you all have a great Caturday! ~O)

Good morning Michelle ~O) MMMMMM....2 of the mocha's please Elsa! Those are my favorite ones :-D ~O)

Sounds like a wonderful day again yesterday! Recoup day earned I say ;-) :-D
So wonderful that Mannie's spirit is kept alive in Nicholas. That little guy is going to grow up to be a huge advocate for animals and that is just so needed in our world :-D
Have a wonderful day getting caught up on errands and rest Michelle!!

Morning Cheryl ~O) ~O) ~O) THX for the visit. Me too on that walk, and I expect I will. I bet your snow is pretty, and that you guys are well equipped to handle it all. we do so badly with it here.... I so agree on Lola - she does not know the word idle.  I suspect it will be back to my house plants.

Morning Kim ~O) ~O) ~O) oh yes on the recoup day today. I will get the errands done. and then a nice slow pace on whatever looks good. A woods/shore hike for sure. I think so on Mannie and Nicholas. After 8 months since Mannie passed Nicholas still remembers him as if it were yesterday. It is so nice to see. I so hope on teh animal activist. Wouldn't that be nice. :-D THX on today!
Auntie Kim! You gots it! I am on my way. Two of everything! well, at least the mochas. They are my beans fav too - I have to make teem every day for her. silly bean, mega good though huh! ~~ Elsa, KBP

How sweet that Nicholas still remembers Mannie so well. I love the breffis pictures where Nicholas is playing with William. That's great they get along so well.

Lola is going to miss the tree, but I'm sure she'll find something else to get into.

I hope you have a nice, relaxing recovery day today and enjoy your walk.

Hi Michelle,
I got a little chill when I read about Nicholas talking about Mannie - true soul mates, for sure.
Looks like the aquarium is non-stop fun :-D And I love William's face eating his veggies - soon, you will get the good stuff baby boy!
Hope your weather lets you enjoy some outside time today :-D

Morning Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) I think so too on Nicholas and Mannie - they were such a pair, and I am sure he misses his buddy. THX on the pics, and me too. I so hope they will always be such good buddies. Oh yes on Lola.... what will it be? :o THX on today. Errands and chores almost done, then onto the fun stuff!

Morning Jane ~O) ~O) ~O) I so know on Mannie, and Nicholas. They rally were that close. Lola is becoming his new buddy here, but she is just too feisty. Mannie was so laid back, and well they hit it off from day 1. The aquarium here is a good one, a for sure fav of Nicholas. We can go once a week, if needed, and never be bored. LOL, and so I keep telling William... someday you too will be eating those breffis's that Nicholas has. THX too on the weather. Slowly it is improving out there. It was very foggy and drizzly this morning, and that finally seems to be changing. YAY!

Hi Michelle. Sounds like you're got some great earmuffs ;-) That's so sweet about Mannie and Nicholas, makes me tear up  . I'm wondering what is up with those quiet Caturdays too? Trying to lull you into thinking every one will be quiet...than BAM! Hope your day goes well and you get some nice "me" time :-D

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Mine was productive, but also relaxing. we did ok here, really an SOS, let it evolve kind of day, but productive too. The shopping was done, laundry done, and I maanaged two treks out doors. It was a day at the shore, through the woods. There sure weren't many people down there. That was kinda nice! The sky has such a mellow feel to it, color wise, and with cloud formations. one of those afternoons where it was just nice to hang out outdoors. It wasn't too cold either, maybe 45. I thought the clouds looked like a killer sunset in the making, so took a chance on that and went to picnic point at sunset. The clouds had shifted some so it wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be but still nice enough. It was one of those that started out yellow/light orange/orange, but no reds, and then went pink to lavender. It was really very pretty. So went the day, productive, but relaxing too. I stopped in too at the lynnwood pool to see on lessons etc for the Nicholas. I looked at that online and some of it just didn't make sense to me, so off to see the pool people. anyways... he's set for his swim eval on this coming TH. They have lots of openings in the January session, so he could start as early as 1/13. depending on how the eval goes. He's still a little gun shy around strangers, so.. I dunno. we will see how it goes, and if he will work with the guy doing the evaluation. At least he knows him by sight, so maybe that will help. Enjoy your evening - I am off to my sofa, for some serious unwind time. After condos that is. :-D

Hi Rachel - LOL on the earmuffs! But truth is: I do! Yes on Mannie and Nicholas - they were really very close. Mannie looked for him everyday and Nicholas looked for Mannie. I'd tell Mannie the night before of the morning of the day, he was due to spend the day, and he would begin the wait. Always at the top of the stairs until Nicholas showed up. Best buddies forever. I dunno on those Caturdays - but they are always like that - normally it is chaos, but not on Caturdays. weird! THX on today it was great, and yes on eh ME time. I got my hiking in: always the best me time! :-D
