We started out super promising with AMPS at 322BG.
Gave 1.1U w/ 3.5oz FF. Then proceeded to smell and touch fur as habit now to check for insulin on surface. Sure enuff'. A spot wipes away on hand. Inuslin. The dreaded fur shot.

Could kick self!!!

+4/ 337 BG
+5.5/ 302 BG

Hope he just holds steady till PMPS. ARGH!
 
Will it help to know everyone has done one (or 2 or 6 or....),even the most experienced people who have done hundreds of shots? One lost shot won't hurt.
 
Lisa, I don't think we've met yet, but yes, sh*t happens (substitute the vowel of your choice) and sometimes don't. Alex has had more than his share of fur shots. Hang in there!
 
Hope he holds pretty steady for you too Lisa. Maybe some insulin got in. But like everyone says, one missed shots isn’t the end of the world. You’ll get his numbers back down again next time ‘round.
 
Just an fyi, never try again or shoot mid cycle
you never know if some insulin might have gone in

AND
dont worry it happens to everyone, and not only once.
just know it is only a 12 hour period and better too high for awhile than too low for a minute
 
Ok. He held steady through the day.
+10/ 322 BG (same as his AMPS)
I gave approx .75oz FF at +10 thinking the BG may surge if he is hungry.

PMPS at +12 was 352. Pretty level through the entire day. Let's see what this eve cycle will bring. Holding with the 1.1U

Thanks for your posts about not worrying over the fur shot. I needed to hear that.
 
I agree with everyone....not a bad cycle for a fur shot. Now that you have given at least one fur shot, you are officially a member of the PZI group!

Hoping for a good cycle tonight.
