AMPS 286 shooting 2.5F

Boomer ate all of his +3 and +6 but didn't touch his +9 fuds. I know he ate his +6 meal at +8 because he decided that I needed to get up and stir the last remaining teaspoon of it for him.:rolleyes:

Yesterday I got out first thing in the morning and visited 5 locations and other than 3 hawks that were all flying too far away to photograph, I saw only 1 bird...a male cardinal. Came home and there were 4 kinds of birds at my feeder. Should have just stayed at home I guess:rolleyes:

Today it's very mild :woot: but it's supposed to be rainy :arghh:
 
Hi Judy! What's with these spoiled kitties? I have to hold the plate now ! :rolleyes:

Too funny about venturing out and then coming home to find an aviary! Hey, you know what Dorothy says, "There's no place like home!"

We visited my sister (near Syracuse NY) at Christmas and there were White-Throated Sparrows under her feeders. Neat to see them. Here they don't arrive until May.

I had one in my backyard last month but I imagine they're all gone now. I'm not seeing much of anything anywhere, except at my feeder.
 
This morning I'm sitting at the computer & something hit my front window. Bam! I put seed out behind the front bushes for the birds & squirrels. Well, a fairly large Hawk figured it was a Fast food restaurant!:rolleyes:
He went after a bird for breakfast & hit my window.Came back a second time but didn't catch anything. I feel sorry for him, but i don't like him hunting in my yard .
I don't know now what i should do? As long as I feed the birds he'll probably be back :arghh:
 
It was cold and rainy here yesterday and I couldn't warm up after spending 3 hours walking dogs at the shelter. Cold rain is the worst! I hope it clears up for you today.

Yeah I run into the same thing here. I had a Cooper's Hawk stalking the feeder for quite a few days. He seems to have gone now and my birds have come back.
I know they have to eat but I'd rather they leave my backyard birds and bunnies alone.
 
Sending heaps of vines for you all and all best wishes for the new year. I’m sorry to have been offline for a long spell and was very sad to learn that Allen went ahead. He was and always will be one special fellow and he couldn’t have had a more wonderful life and family than with you and yours. I’m sure Azalea was among the chorus greeting him at the bridge.
