I'm still wrestling with whether this is a full blown diabetic relapse or just the result of several weeks of illicit carb snacking at Sophie's expense on Orijen Six Fish dog formula. "Give a cat a fish, she'll eat for a day; teach a cat to fish, it'll make a great YouTube video." It's in the Bible, really. Look it up (Actually it's supposed to be from Lao Tzu).
Alley has been poorly controlled for weeks now and just as it took until Christmas for her to lose her appetite, it will probably take some time with her BG controlled for her to find her appetite again. On her first rodeo, Alley went from 17 to 11 pounds. This time she went from 17 to 15.6 pounds. Back 1.5+ years ago, the vet said that Alley should weigh 12 - 13 pounds. I tried to get and keep her in that range, but there's only so much a cat will tolerate before she hoists the Jolly Roger and starts slitting throats... "I'm a 17 pound cat and for every ounce under 17 pounds you try to keep me, It'll cost that quantity of of flesh and guess where I'm going to take it from."
Alley is back in greens and blues and I'm not going to win any contest for poster child for tight regulation by the book. We've had four shots now at 3.0U, 2.5U, 1.0U, and 1.0U and Alley scooted right down to green and has settled into the low blues. Of course, 3 cycles does not a definitive data set make, so I'll keep it at 1.0U for 6 - 10 cycles before changing anything because hey, even I follow the rules every now and then!

That made me laugh! Sorry for the weight mutiny, I hope Alley doesn't need the juice that long.
