Good Monday, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night, ate all his food, slept with his beans, and this morning we had a vigorous play with Big Bug and the new Xmas cube (it's green). At the moment he is lounging on top of the radiator, watching the snow. We are on the edge of the big snowstorm here and don't expect to get much snow, but we would like to get a lot so that snowshoeing will be fun this week. DH has gone btb and I am trying to get caught up after our Xmas trip. We were lucky to have good roads yesterday for our drive home. And, as I mentioned last night, Rusty was a terrific traveler.

Yo Binks! Yeah man, I know how to drive a car. I can help out!
Rusty

We hope that all the travelers stuck in the blizzard will be able to get home today (Pat and DH in particular) and that everyone on the East Coast is doing OK digging out (the great blizzard of Dec. 26th 1947 comes to mind--the greatest "event" of my childhood--same time of year, but the 1947 blizzard had about 25 inches of snowfall. Wow, did my friends and I ever have fun! My big brother shoveled off the flat roof of the porch of my parent's house and there was so much snow that it made a sleighriding hill into the backyard!).

See you all later,
Ella & Rusty

Re: 12/27 Rusty AMPS 132

Glad you had a nice holiday and safe travels home. Its wonderful that Rusty is such a good traveler!

The snowstorm you mentioned sounds similar to one that happened here in the 40's. I didnt know anything about it until this years blizzard. Guess the day started in the 60's and people were out on lakes hunting (ducks?). It came quickly - a few feet, wind, etc. A lot of people didnt make it home. Apperantly my neighbor, whose family lived in the same house he is in now, shared similar stories about people sledding off 2nd story balconies.

Enjoy the snow and hope its good for snowshoeing, or maybe a little x country skiing.

Re: 12/27 Rusty AMPS 132

morning Rusty! and Ella! and Edward! we are all glad you made it home safely, and were not severely affected by the snow storm. I feel for those that are stuck. However I hope you get enough that you can go snowshoeing, of cross country. perfect!

love the snow story! We once had a snow storm here that dumped 3 feet over two days - a rarity for us... and what a nightmare it was - it totally shut down everything, as we her in the pnw are not at all prepared for that amount of snow.

have a good one today - so nice to read that Rusty is doing well.

Rusty!!! See you soon! I am sooooooooooooooo glad that you can drive too. This is good. ~~ Mannie

Glad you got home safely--This storm we got is like the ones we got when I was a kid in NY..City was immoblized for days, nothing moving!!
We made ridiculous snowmen, used our radio flyer sleds, snowballed everyone to death, and drank hot chocolate!!
We have drifts in our yard that are at least 5 feet high, but I'm not going sledding-Oy I'd kill myself

Sounds like Rusty had a great holiday & glad to be home! Big Hugs to you all from us!

Rusty, Did you forget we have Mowgli's party tonite?? Choir is all charged up, we just needs a ride--Come get us, but avoid the backyard    !! Lubs ya Moonie-see ya soon

Ella, I'm so happy you guys made it home, safe and sound. I kinda figured Rusty would travel well, after all he went through to get to your home. That's really nice.
And you are doing a bangup job taking care of him. Did we expect anything less???? :-D
