Hi guys .. great job on surfing the blues last night munchie! This morning's number is a nice low yellow too, bet blue isn't far off! Have a great day guys!

2 questions:
1) Any thoughts on reducing the bubbles in the syringe? I've tried measuring it out as slowly as I can but that isn't helping for some reason. I'm thinking I'll have to get a new bottle. Haven't had this happen before but think her dose is reduced somewhat since I'm getting the bubble...

2) I wanted to get pens but was told by pharmacy that you can't stick a syringe in the pen like you do with the bottle and that you have to click for the units you want? Does this sound right?

Thanks!

#1. I oftentimes waste the first dose I am trying to measure because I just can't get that bubble to go to the top of the syringe (I just figure, we throw so much out anyway, it's okay). Once, I've given up on the first attempt and have thrown the dose into the sink, I use the same needle to get my second attempt and for some reason the second attempt won't have bubbles 99% of the time. I also keep the plunger pressed in the best I can while pushing the needle into the pen.

#2. The pharmacy is wrong. The end of the pen or cartridge has a rubber stopper on top just like the vials do.
You just push the needle into the stopper and draw your insulin with your regular insulin syringes.
