Mango is feeling so much better! He is playing with toys again and running around. It has been a while for him. Makes me smile!:joyful:

It really is heartwarming to see the rejuvenation that comes from getting those blood sugar numbers down. Mango's doing so awesome that I believe he'll be one of the lucky ones to go into remission.

The Relion meters are awesome because they remove one of the biggest sources of frustration when starting out, which is getting enough blood to test. Plus the price can't be beat, which means more tests for the money!

@+5 81 :bighug: Keep it up Mango!!!! Looks like a trend at +5 and +6 ! I will be able to tell better tomorrow when the depot is emptier. BTW, how long does it take for the depot to be depleted?

I have gone through so many Truemetrix strips because they require so much blood and the Relion only needs less than a drop! Wow! SO much easier and quicker!
I paid less for the Relion meter, 50 count test strips and lancets than I would of paid for only the test strips for the Truemetrix Air.

We used the Relion Micro (the smaller cousin of the Confirm) in the beginning and it was a lifesaver! The importance of the cost savings on the strips cannot be understated, especially considering the frequency of testing that we do around here. That's why you often see the Relion recommended over an animal specific meter like the AlphaTrak because the animal test strips are like $1 a piece, and you can get three Relion Micro/Confirm tests for the same price. Even better, when Mango's ears learn to bleed better, you can do what many of us have done and graduate to the Relion Prime. It uses a slightly larger drop (5 microliters versus 3 microliters), but the strips are an even bigger value (17 cents per strip versus 35 cents).

(If you don't shoot, you'll want to use BG and not PS.)

Don't sweat too much about the PM number. He may come back down on his own again. And if not, he will get back on track when you return =)
