Yep. This is a little bit of a relief. How is he feeling today? Is he eating?

He's eating a bit more, not much. He has lost weight this week, I can feel his spine again, don't like that at all. :sad:

He just ate a few minutes ago, , most of 1/3 can of FF with FortiFlora sprinkled on it. For the last couple days, he wasn't even eating most of 1/4 can FF. But he'd eat a couple T of tuna, so better than nothing.

Going to see if I can find that Evo cat and kitten dry that is less than 8 carbs and see if he'll eat some of that. Need to check the list too and see which Tiki cat and such is low carb, since I know this petstore carries it.

Most of the Tiki Cat's are fish. I feed the Succulent Chicken and then the chicken and ahi mixed. The ones to stay away from actually say "and rice" so it's easy to know which ones are low carb. I bought the EVO dry food for Nuzzles when I was trying to get her on better dry. She would not touch it - neither would my civvies are even Alska. I still have a huge bag of it in my closet that I need to find and toss.

Will Lucian eat raw chicken? When my civvies were sick and not interested in the raw mixture, I could get them to eat a couple of pieces of raw thigh muscle meat. I cut it to the size of a fingernail with scissors and tossed it to them. I still have to put parmesan on all of my girl civvie's food. She got down to back-bone appearance too. It truly scared me but that went away after a week of normal appetite.

I hope this eating thing with Lucian gets over soon. It is so very stressful, I know. And you are doing so well with the smoking cessation.

Lucian doesn't like chicken at all, raw or cooked. He does like turkey though. He'll only eat chicken pate if it is chicken and tuna. Won't touch plain chicken in any form.

I'll look around the pet store and see what I can find. Checking the food list real quick....

Bought 3 cans of Wellness and 5 of BFF. He seems ok with the Wellness Chicken and Herring, ate most of 1/4 5oz can.

Pet shop didn't have Evo dry or Tiki, but have several other options/brands of low carb. I picked those 2 to try first.

Oh good. My cats liked BFF for a while. There are good low carb options in the cans. I am glad Lucian likes the new choices.
 
He's only tried the one so far, but has eaten most of 1/2 of the can of Wellness Chicken and Herring in the last 2 hrs. Surprising.

Was hoping we wouldn't need the R tonight. Wish I had remembered to check on the N while I was at Walmart, but it slipped my mind. Not much left to slip, I think. @-)
 
Glad Lucian is liking the new food and eating a little better. So, so stressful when they won't eat. Thinking of you both.
 
Debbie, I went back and got caught up on Lucian and your struggles with him. I just want to reach out and give you a virtual hug, and also to publicly commend you on being such a great mom to him. He is a lucky kitty to have you to care for him.
 
If you've got a smart phone, there may be a calendar or memo application where you can enter a shopping list. If you do it in the calendar, you can also set a reminder alarm. This is helpful for prescription renewals, too! (I have a memory like a sieve sometimes!)
 
@ Linda, thank you for the compliment, but I just do what I can.

@BJM.....nope, got a dumb phone. :lol: When I remember, I just make a list.
