Good evening everyone,
It's a miserable day here in North Dakota. We've had about a foot or so of snow in the last day and we're currently in the midst of a pretty awesome blizzard. I got stuck at work because apparently our in-town clinics couldn't be bothered to close when the storm started. To make it worse, I came home, so thankful I made it in one piece without getting stuck (other than briefly in the driveway), and Caleb had to go to work less than an hour later. :arghh: The storm's pretty bad and another crappy ND trait is heaven forbid bars close around here during blizzards. I hope he doesn't have to stay there for too long. I want him home where I know he's safe.

Another part of our misery sandwich is I'm not entirely sure what's going on with Lou's BGs. Just gave him an increase and we still haven't seen any green. He may be bouncing from last night's high blue , but it hit awfully fast. Seriously though. This is bad even for him. I hope he evens out in the next few cycles or I guess we'll be increasing yet again.

I hope you all have a wonderful evening and you're all safe and cozy at home. Sending vines to those in need, along with extra hugs for Chris (@Chris & China) and Steph (@StephG). :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope Lou comes back down for you soon. I'm glad you made it home safely. I hope Caleb gets home soon. Sending prayers.

Yikes on the snow storm. Paws crossed Caleb makes it home safe too.

How is Lou feeling these days? How are the 5 P's?

Here's hoping flat pink means he's over NDW and ready for action tonight.

Here, we kinda lucked out with the storm. We got maybe 4-6 inches, but half the day it was raining so it kept the snow to a minimum. Unfortunately, it is going to freeze tonight so it's going to be a wild ride for commuters tomorrow morning. I'm lucky to be off! Be safe over there. I lived through a few ND blizzards.

He doesn't seem obviously off. He seems generally happy and I'm not noticing any LB issues. His appetite seems fine. He hasn't been playing much that I've seen though and it seems he's been sleeping more. I hope that's because he feels crappy with the higher BGs and not because of an underlying issue. (I might be slightly paranoid about there being something wrong because of the recent losses on the board, but I don't want to overlook something either.)

Latest update from Caleb is talk that the bar might close in 1.5 hours. I desperately hope it does!!

Ugh! I think I'd rather stick with the snow. At least you usually know what you're getting into. Although it was a bit slick, it wasn't as bad driving as it could have been (if you ignore the whiteouts). Ice is just unforgiving and cruel. Where are you located?

Some of the kitties are feeling the winter Blahs ;)

I'm in Chicago & so far no snow! That's good cause my little snow blower is not working. I'll need to shovel if it snows! :arghh:

Hope Lou's bg comes down & you have a Good day :)

Unfortunately for us we have a snowblower, but we really have no idea how to use it. We'll have plenty of time to practice, but it would be nice to use now on that heavy, packed snow.

After last night, it looks like he needs another increase. I'll do it tomorrow morning unless he miraculously comes out of the pinks and yellows today.

Oh my...I'm sorry you guys are all up there suffering through a snowstorm...I thought they were exciting - as long as I didn't have to drive in it...and didnt' worry about everyone I cared about driving in it...so that sorta negated all the excitement:banghead:....have to say I'm glad to be here in SW Florida where it's currently 80 degrees (yes, even now that the sun has set, it's still 80 and quite 'warm' - the humidity has returned and I was able to go swimming this morning (yes, heated pool, but I don't go when it's 70 ... I'm an old lady and I don't want to climb out of a warm pool and freeze...so I'm a wimp!)...hope you can find a redeeming thing about being in the cold/snow, etc. OR pack up the kitties and come on down and see us! We'll be on the beach at sunrise

Sorry that Lou is being so difficult - Luci is also back in the land of pink - I was really hoping not to see that color on her again!:arghh::arghh: And certainly Lou was supposed to get the Lev - so as to settle out the bounces...tell him that - maybe he just needs to 'know' what's up with the new medication? Suppose to make those pink colors never to appear again on his SS... he needs to understand what his job here is:p...being the poster cat for Lev...so just tell him that Auntie Sue and Luci as counting on him...and he has to 'man up' and get with the program...:bighug::bighug:

Lou what are you doing up there??? Come back down!
I guess I should quit complaining about the constant rain we’ve been having! It is so muddy everywhere and I practically live in rubber boots. But at least it hasn’t been really cold and we haven’t had ice.....yet (antijinx).
Hope Caleb makes it home safe! Stay warm!
