Happy Caturday! We hope you all had a great Christmas and wish everyone who needs them healing vines. Prayers to Kelly in her loss of Tomcat.

Missy G is doing well today and had a great day yesterday but had some issues on Christmas Day. I had recently bought some new Merrick foods but still have WN Chicken, Turkey, and Beef/Chicken in her rotation. I opened one of the new cans of WN Turkey on Christmas Day. She had an odd poo that day and then that night, she threw up before I fed her at PMPS and it was a small, foamy vomit with a tiny bit of blood in it. Having read the other issues with WN, I tossed the food and WN is no longer in the rotation. It might not have been related to the WN, but I'm not taking chances especially since neither the weird poo or a small pukus slightly tinged with blood has occurred before. Ever. Neither seemed to bother her....she's been eating great and has been super playful. However, I do have an appt for her to see Dr. B on Tuesday afternoon. Just to be sure.

Mike and I had a lovely, quiet Christmas yesterday and watched some movies. Our tradition is to watch Love Actually and we also watched Polar Express. The weather forecast was for freezing temps so we spent two hours bringing all of our outdoor potted plants into the garage....about 100 plants. Whew!!

Wishing you all a super day. We are leaving to go visit some friends but will be back later.

Miss Gracie is looking good -- what a drop from the AMPS. I hope her tummy is better.
Marje, I'm glad you and Mike had a nice Christmas. What a neat tradition to watch Love Actually. I love that movie, too, but I can honestly say that I never saw The Polar Express. I probably am the only person that didn't see it.

100 plants?!! That is a lot of work to bring them inside.
Have a great evening!

No rush Gracie - take your time. The lagoon is still going to be warm when you get there. Freezing temps! Hard to believe we are warmer than you are.

Ugh on the WN. I fed WN Turkey on Christmas day too, but it's older cans I had around. I hope Gracie doesn't show any more odd signs.

Ouch on the WD. So glad she's back to being fine and dandy. Stay that way, too, Gracie.

Your Christmas sounds wonderful. Cozy, relaxing. The way it should be.

Grab a blanket, wrap up warm, and enjoy the evening! (freezing???)

Poo patrol is not pleased with odd poo. Paws crossed the combo of poor poo and pukus is a blip in the life of Gracie. We will be awaiting her vetty report. So glad you all had a lovely holiday celebration and Mike was home for the great plant move!

It seems that lots of cat are having issues with Wellness if that is the one you just nixed. I wonder what is going on. I'm hoping the vetty appt won't be necessary.

I hope Gracie keep sliding back to the lagoon. Hopefullly she won't have any bad effects from the WN and will get a good check-up from the vetty. I'm glad she's feeling good. I'm glad you and Mike had a nice Christmas.

We're glad that Gracie is OK after the Wellness Turkey, or whatever caused her problem. We are still feeding Wellness and have two new cases. But they are the 3 oz. cans "product of Canada". No problems so far, but I'm keeping a watchful eye. Rusty is a picky eater and Wellness is one of the foods he will eat.
Nice to see Gracie sliding down this evening. (I wish it were possible in the new program to see the subject line of a condo without having to scroll back to the top of the thread; it's hard to keep those bg numbers in memory! )
Enjoy your evening, guys,
Hugs, scritches,
Ella & Rusty

What a nice slide down for Miss Gracie- easy does it little girl! Marje, was the Wellness you fed in the tall can or the short can? Tiger was enjoying Wellness Chicken but there might be something about the tall can that is suspect? Just a few weeks ago, I gave her one feeding of WN Chicken and she only ate a small amount, and promptly vomited it up! Like you, I threw the rest of it away. However, I now exclusively feed her the short cans of Wellness Core Chicken,Turkey, Liver, and she is absolutely fine with no vomiting. I am reading Ella's post with a great deal of interest, that is the first I've heard of a Canadian product as opposed to an American one? Hope LBG feels better- big hugs!! I miss the emoticons!!! :-(

Thank you all for writing. Gracie cleared her bounce and dipped her toes in the lagoon. Hopefully, she'll slide back down tonight. The WN turkey was from a 3 oz can "Product of Canada". Again, it might not have been the culprit but she was fine before, she's been fine since. The appt with Dr. B is just in case the WN turkey wasn't the culprit.

I'm catching a cold so have been on the sofa with blanket and hot tea, etc. NyQuil is in my future. I tried to do "this" a couple weeks ago and beat it back. It doesn't help that it's cold here....should be in the 20s again tonight.

20s - oh my! That is at least two kitty cuddle weather. Is Gracie being a good nurse?

Having a shot of NyQuil in a real shot glass instead of the little plastic cup can make you feel like it's a wild Caturday night! :p Paws crossed you and Gracie are back on your feet/paws soon.

Anne

While you're saving your plants from freezing, I'm watering mine furiously to keep them going . It was about 95 over here today and will be similar all week :). Hope you're feeling better soon
