Hi Everyone! Hope you got what you wanted for Christmas
Best gift I received was a Saints scarf (I'm from New Orleans).
Cini got what he wanted for Christmas, a dose reduction!
He went to a BG reading of 50 yesterday! Woot!
The Pet Sitter called me as soon as he saw the 50 reading and I walked him through feeding Cini a little 4% carb food to bump him back up. The the PS tested Cini again every 30 mins till he was sure the BG readings were going up. At the PMPS reading last night of 169, I instructed the PS to start giving .10 units Lantus twice a day.
Now, of course, Cini is bouncing with an AMPS reading of 275. Had to spend a little quality time with the PS to review what a bounce is and why we would still want to give less insulin and not more insulin while Cini is bouncing. PS seemed to "get it" so we'll see how the next 24 to 72 hours goes. I even told him "put on your patience pants"!
