Good morning, LL! I'm obviously needing some ~O) ~O) , I started visiting condos and forgot Chynas :roll: Much better AMPS today than yesterday, stinky pinky (but almost, almost yellow!). Paws crossed and anti-jinx that we see some nicer numbers today ;-) Thanks so much for all your encouragement yesterday while I visited the dumps.

Yesterday: Chyna 12/26

Chyna seems to be fine today, ate both breffis bowls so far and is now sleeping in one of her kitty beds, sweet girl cat_pet_icon No poo last night, but she doesn't always do every day, so I'm hoping for a prezzie today.

She's still walking so stiff, but still jumping to her tree? I actually found Adequan that looks like it will ship to Canada. But it's pretty $$$$ that I don't have...and I think I need a prescription, it doesn't mention it but I didn't hit pay or finish checkout yet. I was hoping I could convince the vet about this but still no response. I'm wondering if the stiffness is from higher BG, she does get methyl B12 and vitamins. I dunno...probably arthritis still, poor old bones! If she's jumping at least it looks like the increased cosequin is working...

Anyways, have a good day LL! I'm hoping to see green faces on all condos :cool:

I hope Chyna slides down for you today. I'm glad she's feeling good and the Cosequin seems to be helping.

I've heard of a product call Ichon that is the same active ingredient.

Let China know that she won't find Champ up on the pink floor anymore...party is now down on yellow!!!

Champ is taking Adequan and it's AWESOME. I hope your vet will prescribe it for you, though it stinks it's so expensive for you (you do need a prescription here in the states). Will the Drs. Foster & Smith website deliver to Canada? That's the cheapest place to order it that I've found. (Equine and Canine versions are the same, but equine is cheaper so get a prescription for that). I'll trade you some cheaper Adequan for some cheaper Lantus!!! Too bad we can't actually do that. I found that Cosequin did nothing for Champ, but Dasequan worked better. I ordered it on Amazon in a three-pack which reduced the cost.

Hey Chyna...WRONG WAY!!

Only here in Lantus Land do we get so excited over a kitty poo...and so worried when we don't get one! When I did a short stint as a nurse aide many years ago, it never ceased to amaze me how paranoid the older patients were about their bowels...and if they didn't move exactly on time, every day, they'd get almost hysterical over it and start demanding something to make them "Go"!

Reminding them that they'd been on nothing but clear liquids for a week didn't seem to give them much comfort...LOL

Well..hope Chyna gives you a nice poo pressie today!! :-D

UGH, BLECH, ARGH. If this weren't a family forum, I would be using much different words! :shock: :lol: What on earth Chyna? Stop going up!

Patty, Chyna doesn't apparently feel like partying today...I'll have to ask the vet again about Adequan. It isn't that bad pricewise, but the only place I found it in stock that will ship here (so far) wants you to buy two vials, and I checked and it does need an Rx...and I don't have that kind of cash :roll: I wish we could do a trade, Lantus for Adequan :lol: If it makes you feel better, your syringes are half the price of what I can find ;-)

Chris, thanks for the laugh. We have poo! :lol: I know mine don't move the same every day...I guess as we get older we keep track? :shock: I've told Chyna over and over, wrong way :YMSIGH:

Jane, I would love to see a lower floor...I had an ok day hibernating with my girl :-D More snow=less likely to leave the house on days off ;-)

All I can say is blech again! I see some other kitties up there today too, did someone leave the lid off the cookie jar? Well I hope we all see some sliding tonight nailbite_smile

Good luck with finding the meds you need. I thought all prescriptions were cheaper in Canada.

I hear good thins about Adequan, though I've never had to use it. I wish you luck in convincing your vet, and getting it in Canada. Bummer on the cost!

Thanks Ella...I think Adequan is a USA thing, I can't find it in Canada. I'd love to find it cheaper ;-) . Apparently Chyna doesn't want to listen to anyone...she really likes pink :cry:

Hi Michelle, thanks. It's on backorder at a bunch of places so it's double hard to find. I guess I'm counting my chickens before they are hatched...I need an Rx first :roll:

Now I gotta say, what is going on? We've been almost all pink (with a red and yellow thrown in) since our dosecrease...if it continues should I increase by 0.5u tomorrow night since her almost nonexistant nadirs are so high? Or wait to see if she settles...I tested for ketones tonight and they were negative. But baby kitty isn't feeling well, I can tell she's just sort of blah :YMSIGH: .
