What’s it called when all the treats are gone? A cat-astrophe.

G'morning everyone! I hope you're all sunning at the beach. We're doing just fine over here. Mom is doing much better too. Looks like we will go back tomorrow Monday 12/28. Unless something changes.

I'm wondering how do we adjust the dose when we go back -- when and how and how much? Thanks everyone and have a great day.

Glad to hear that your mom is doing much better. I am sure it must be a relief to be able to spend time with her without having to worry about Squeaky going low.

I guess you would go back to your last dose of 3.75U, right @tiffmaxee ?

Thanks everyone. Guess what. Squeaky was 86 at 7.5 today. Yet he ate well all day today. I will feed him some high carb so I can go back to be with my mom. Do you think any chance of him going lower right now since he is past nadir?

Do you think 2 units is too much for tomorrow's trip? i guess I should see what his numbers are and then decide if I should skip tomorrow or not. Or tonight.....

There is also the possibility he might bounce and be perfectly safe.
I would test in a couple hours. Some cats will nadir later when they are breaking a bounce.

So he is bouncing now, 440 at +9. We'll be on the road, I'll test again and looks like a full shot, don't you think? Unless it is down. If down it'll be 2. If same or up, perhaps full shot 3.75?

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Safe travels. I agree with Bhooma. You don’t want to need to test while on the road

    Thanks everyone!

Whoops well he tested at PS at 9:50 at 450. So I gave him 3.75.

Good thing this isn't an exact science huh? He peed in the box, I cleaned it up, gave him a break, tested and shot. Now I;m using Mc Donald's wifi. Will be home in about 6 hours or so. Oh my. I need a bigger car to travel with my cat......

With the bounce he should be just fine. I just didn’t want you to test during your drive. You can just give him mc or hc food as needed to minimize test s and he drop.
