Yesterday's condo Good morning everyone and thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday! It certainly was a troubling way to spend Christmas Day! I'm just hoping to spend a nice quiet day at home 'recovering'! We're getting too old for this much excitement... And at the end of all that the tests, etc. were completely inconclusive; the cardiologist never did come around...grrr....I suspected that much since the specialties unless there's a pressing issue often don't want to come in on holidays...it's just the way it is. If the covering physician can assess the immediate needs of the patient and generally handle whatever seems to be going on - and after all the blood work and tests were generally not indicative of an emergent condition, then they see no need to interrupt their holiday to stop by to 'evaluate' a patient. And as for Luci - she's generally back to visiting all the colors - today is the last day of administering the thryoid medication - and I have a whole new tube ready to go uh oh...Miscalculated that one! I'll post on the Supply Closet to see if anyone else can use that item. Now is the two week time frame of no further thyroid medication so they can test her again prior to the procedure on 1/11 to confirm that the diagnosis of hyper-t. So it feels like 'Nurse Sue' has to continue the process of taking care of the patients around here - hopeful that DH will be back to his old self - he says he's going to take today off - so maybe we'll go to the farmer's market later today and look around. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to talk/Zoom/Facetime with friends and family. We did at least have some family phone calls and Facetime - but didn't get to everyone - hopefully later today Have a great day everyone and I hope your kitties surf safely!
I’m so glad that DH is home and doing well! We had a similar scare with my 85 yo dad a couple of years ago on Christmas night. In the end, it was dehydration and exhaustion, but he spent a day and a half in hospital getting every possible test and seeing ALL of the specialists, before they finally sent him home. I hope today is calm for you both.
So glad your husband is home - hope any follow-ups go smoothly. Sounds like you all made the most of the holiday given the circumstances Hope Luci slides down and surfs (gently, politely) today
I’m glad your husband is home and doing better. You will certainly remember the Christmas of 2020. I hope everything goes as planned for lovely Luci so she can have her procedure done.
Sounds like you have a lot going on taking care of everyone. I'm glad DH is taking today off for some rest and relaxation. Enjoy the rest of your day.
