Good morning LL. Thought I would stop by and say hi and wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas. I'm off work this week and am enjoying some much needed down time. I was at my use-it or lose-it vacation hours so opted for the using it.

Fur Ball is doing really well and he has been in quite the mood. He is so much more playful and 'cat-like' than he's ever been. He has (unfortunately) discovered that he can jump up on the counter tops. Yikes. Any way, I fed him the other night and was so tired that I forgot to put away the open can of food (he gets about a tsp of canned along with his NV raw). I woke up the next morning wondering why he had not been his usual 4am pest. When I went into the kitchen I found the lid to the wet food in front of the sink and after much searching found the empty can in the corner. He probably got at least 3/4 can of food on top of his usual diet. No wonder the well fed content munchkin didn't need to wake up his beans begging for more. I wanted to test his BG on Monday but the battery was dead on the meter. Need to go buy another one, but haven't wanted to get out of the house yet. Way to cold.

DH bought him 12 new fuzzy mice and I think he played with them for 2 hrs straight yest. So incredibly cute. DH also bought him a smartkat sweet greens cat grass kit but I wasn't sure if he could have that. Does anyone have any information on whether cat grass is ok for FD?

Hope everyone is doing well and kittys are surfing safe. I'll check out some condos before I have to log off.

My cats graze on grass almost like cows, when the grass is growing. During the winter months, I grow the cat grass indoors and they love it. There aren't any problems with cats eating grass and FD that I know of.

My boys tend to chew the grass and throw it up and so it doesnt go into their systems anyway. There are carbs in grass but not being herbivores I dont think that cats can digest it even if they did keep some down. Just goes out the other end.

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas Karen and Greg!!

I agree with the others...the cat grass is fine! Glad Fur Ball is doing so well!

Merry Christmas! Sounds like Fur Ball is one very happy kitty! That is great! Haven't noticed any spikes in BG when Molly eats cat grass or Catnip (I have both plants growing inside and give clippings to the kitties every now and then).
Thanks for the dose advice in my condo. Much appreciated!

I'm glad Fur Ball is doing so well. I'm sure he was glad you forgot to put the food away. I don't have any advice on the grass. I've wondered about it too.

On behalf of Fur Ball, he thanks you for leaving out such a wonderful Christmas present. How did you know he wanted a snack?

Happy holidays!

Fur Ball really scored this am finding all that yummee fuds!! See your fur alarm clock wasnt working properly today  --Cat grass is terrific for cat digestion..many cats here have it..Moonie & her bro(GA) loved to eat my plants, but never the cat grass-DRAT!! Hugs from us!

Oh FurBall, you are one sneaky kitty getting into that fuds for a midnight snack!  Karen, so good to see a FurBall condo. I bought some of that grass at Petco and Mags munched at it a little and then lost interest. Glad to hear how well FurBall is feeling and so playful. Mags just loves those furry mice, and I am losing them all the time under furniture. So cute of your DH to buy so many as they tend to get hidden away! Give Furball some scritches and hugs from us.
