Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„ And happy holidays to everyone!

Today is day 4 of Xander not eating so great. He seems otherwise healthy, playing with his new Christmas toys. Not really showing any signs of nausea, just eating smaller portions and refusing food here and there. Maybe just a stubborn hairball coming I hope. He also usually poops overnight while im asleep, but I haven't noticed anything yet today.

He LOVES this mat thing that squeaks like a mouse and moves around periodically. He could watch it for hours if we let him.

I Angel do so actually live interactive toys. β™₯️
Angel finally ate her food last night while I was sleeping. Which was only a 4hr time frame, but whatever. I had knocked down her cbd dosage from 2mg to just 1.5mg as well as gave her 1/4 pill of Cerenia. I guess that helped her? But she's back to barely eating this morning again ate. And that's even with giving her Elura the past 2 days. We tried the Entyce, but it was useless on her. And Mirataz doesn't work real well either for her, the one you rub in the ears. Appetite stimulants can help a lot. Once, several months ago, she was nearly eating enough to sustain herself. So the vet told me, "They can get in a slump where they feel eating food will only make them worse. So we need to make her brain and belly know food is good" .
So I have her Elura and Cerenia once a day for an entire week. Then when I stopped, she ate just fine on her own. That's what I'm trying to do again here with her now. Maybe it'll help his situation too?

That's good that you got some food in her though.

I think he might be having a bit of food aversion to his usual flavors. This morning he was pretty reluctant to eat, and then I tried the beef flavor which he never eats and he ate it much better. Maybe he had some nausea from a hairball issue and is still associating it with his food? At least he's eating not too far off from his average, its just taking a few days to get back to normal this time. Fingers crossed tonight or tomorrow he'll eat great

I hope the not eating thing is over quickly. Does he get many hairballs?
With the longer hair I sometimes think they may (maybe just Ivy).
But she had always been a big groomer and now pulls some fur out then pukes it up. Probably stress related 😘

I’m glad he likes his interactive toy. It looks pretty cool 😻

Lately he's been pretty good, only about once a month. But he may have more that he doesn't throw up. In the warmer months this year, he was having them more frequently.

His numbers have been great and he's very playful so I'm trying my best to not worry too much while I wait it out. This morning was 76% of his average calories, not horrible but not great

As long as he continues to eat at least around this amount, I'll give it a few days longer before making a vet visit. But still hoping for his usual dramatic appetite increase any meal now

Aw, I hope Xander's appetite improves soon, but I'm glad he's enjoying his holiday haul! Merry Christmas, Albert. ❀️
