Apparently Pimp got his stocking full of coal. I think we'll have to increase tonight, he hasn't been in the blacks in over a month.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas :)

Morning Andy, and MERRY CHRISTMAS! :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Ah Pimp.... what are you doing on that floor? It is for sure not a Christmas color. Down you go, nice and slow, 'K? Good luck Andy with the dosecrease should you decide to go ahead with it.

Within 20% variance so I guess he could be flat, but looks like he might be heading down a little.
Going to have to shoot bigger tonight if he's not into yellows at least. I can't stand the chance of glucose toxicity and DKA with this infection.
Heading out for the day, Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas, Andy and Pimp. Enjoy your day.

I would also increase for now and keep an eye on the eating/drinking/ketones. Sending vines his way.

Merry Christmas, Andy, and scritches to Pimp. :cat:

Maybe Pimp's BG is just up because of the infection and hopefully when it clears he'll come back down. Paws crossed.

Bump back to 0.5, or increase by full 0.25?
I'm leaning toward 0.25
His numbers have jumped up quite a bit. I think I'd go with the 0.25 increase. You'll just need to watch when he gets done with the AB that his numbers don't come back down really fast. You test enough you should catch that any way.

Yes, I'm on board with everyone else. As long as you're dealing with an infection, a bump in dose may be needed. Once the infection, a/b clears, Pimp will be back down.

Meowy Christmas to you guys, too.

Thanks Marilyn! Hope you're having a Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas - work that juice, mr pimp!

I was interested in what @Marje and Gracie said about the Fortiflora. I'd understood it was a probiotic - why in the world did people (here on LL) always suggest it to me for punkin when he had diarrhea? There was one point where I told the vet I'd switched from fortiflora to a human probiotic, and she said that was "interesting" because typically gut bacteria is species-specific, and she was surprised that I was reporting that the human probiotic was working better than the fortiflora had. But whatever works for you, Andy. We just used a human product that was already at our house - I think it was called Accuflora - and it did help punkin.
