Good morning everyone and I hope you and your families are having a good holiday...

I'm waiting and hoping our holiday will be better soon - my husband was admitted to the hospital last night for a mysterious heart issue. He had symptoms yesterday of a racing pulse and then very slow with some shortness of breath - so we thought it would be a good idea to have him checked out. And of course with COVID being a problem everywhere I was immediately dismissed and told to go home and wait for news - which never came. DH kept me up to date as to the goings on - tests, doctors, etc. but finally they told him he would be their guest overnight - at least until the Cardiologist could evaluate him today.

So prayers please - fingers and paws crossed that the report will be good and he'll be home a little later today!

Here's a pic of his dinner tray from last night - he said it was quite good - which is quite an accomplishment for 'hospital food'. I was astounded that they placed a live orchid bloom on it! Only in Naples I guess!

Luci and I are patiently waiting for news! Have a pleasant and enjoyable day everyone! Be safe and enjoy your loved ones and may your kitties all surf safely today! :bighug:

Sorry to hear this. I hope you get to know soon. Waiting without knowing is really hard. Prayers that all is well and he is home soon! :bighug:
When is the cardiologist expected?

Sue -

I know how hard it can be with a family member in the hospital and not being able to be there. Ask your DH to call you and have you on speaker when the doctors round this morning. It's very helpful to have a second set of ears to hear what they have to say since it's likely that your DH won't remember everything. You're also a good observer so if he forgets to tell them anything, you'll be able to chime in.

Sending prayers:bighug::bighug::bighug: I hope DH gets out of there soon with a clean bill of health.:bighug:
And wow, that is the fanciest presentation of hospital food I have ever seen.

Sending thoughts and prayers, Sue :bighug: So sorry you can't be there though Sienna's idea is a great one - I've heard of a lot of people doing that these days.

Merry Christmas to you and prayers for good news :bighug: Surf safely, Luci :cat:

DH is home! The doctor didn't come around until early afternoon - perhaps because of the holiday? At any rate, they said they were unable to ascertain the cause of the issues he was having yesterday so they released him and he will be following up with a cardiologist next week - perhaps for further investigative tests. The doctor said he was in great shape...so let's hope the issue doesn't occur again and/or they can find out what causes it and treat it!

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes and thoughts!

Merry Christmas to everyone!!

I’m really glad to hear he’s better and is at home. Smart to go to a cardiologist ASAP. My sister had these symptoms off and on so they had her wear a heart monitor as it didn’t show up at the cardiologist and, turns out, she has AFIB. I’m sure that is not the only condition that can cause those symptoms but it just shows it shouldn’t be ignored.
