DH put the turkey in the oven at shot time. I haven't given presents to kitties or droolers yet, but they'll all get something later. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Blackie is better, but not quite at 100%. He hasn't vomited in over 24 hours and he's eating better. He still isn't the hungry boy he usually is, but I'm hoping he'll continue to improve today. I did give him his full dose (4.0 units) this morning. He doesn't seem interested in his Wellness, but he's been eating FF and Wellness Kitten Food, as well as his turkey treats and FD Chicken.

Thank you all for the healing vines for Blackie. I really think its made a difference. (((Hugs))) to you all! :YMHUG:

Blackie feeling better is a great present given how worried you've been. Sending vines for the feeling better trend to continue.

it's so good to hear blackie is improving! hope you see more improvement as the day goes on. there couldn't be a better christmas present to you!

Im so happy to hear Blackie is feeling better. I was always reminded that the cerenia does not make them eat, it just helps their tummy feel better. May take a couple days of a better feeling tummy to associate that food IS actually okay. So any intake is progress! You know if you get concerned about intake you can talk to the vet about an appy stim, alongside the cerenia and/or pepcid.

Enjoy your turkey!!!! Maybe you could throw a little Blackie's way after all is said and done. Two years ago that is all Latte ate between Thanksgiving and Christmas...turkey. Grateful for so many people who shared their left overs with her! :lol:


And no...didnt know about the warm weather! :shock: Was considering a trip late Feb. Hope things freeze up a bit more. Gonna go look at Ouray site....

Ele....I'm so glad to hear Blackie is improving...what a great Christmas gift. We wish you, DH, and Blackie a wonderful, joyous Christmas.

Blackie wouldn't eat anything at +11, so I gave him 1/4 tab of Cyproheptadin, an appetite stimulant. At +6 he ate a 1/2 can of FF Chicken. :-D

Blackie - glad you are doing a little better. Sure hope you enjoyed your Christmas & that you are much, much better very soon!

I'm still struggling to get food in Blackie. I think I've tried about 6 different foods today with some success, but not consistently. He still hasn't vomited, but other than trips to the LB, he hasn't moved from the couch. I'm hoping he'll feel better in the morning.
 
did you give the cerenia today? Every day for 3 days, right? Keep on that, even if he seems to eat a meal or two.
Im sorry for the food struggles. That makes me sad. :cry:
Keep trying. He will pull through it. Such a fighter he is and a very good boy. Give him a kiss on the head for me.

pssst...dont forget to try the turkey you cooked today! :mrgreen:
