12/24. Tiger PMPs 437 Libre, I’m so stressed.

Coming down a bit. He is jumpy/stressed thinking anytime we get close to him we will grab him for another vet visit. Poor baby.
Drinking lots of water with these high numbers.
 
Rough day. Tiger has been jumpy all day and his tummy acted up this afternoon. Threw up a bit of liquid and hid. Finally got him out and gave him a cerenia for tummy and he finally just ate now. He needs a mid day snack to keep tummy in check but he never ate it. I have been stressing so bad worrying. I hope the night goes well.
Worried about tomorrow, going to nieces for dinner, then coming home to feed and give his shot. Fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear Tiger isn’t feeling well— it can be so stressful! Sometimes Tilda does better when I’m away. Hoping tomorrow goes well for you both!
 
Tiger sounds a lot like Basic when he first had his libre (numerous) on. Everytime we went to the vet, because a libre failed, his numbers would skyrocket and stay that way for at least 24 hours.

I hope his belly is better. Base did much better with ondansetron than cerenia, but he was much more nauseous and not actually getting sick like Tiger.

I hope you both are able to get some rest this evening. While I hate high numbers, I worry much less when I'm sleeping or gone.

Merry Christmas Sybil and Basic. With the holiday, things are busier and Tiger hates change. It makes him nervous. So the vet was the last straw I think.
I agree about the high numbers. Maybe God sends them so we can get the rest when we need it.
 
I think Leo needs ondansetron; he's not eating well today/tonight like he ate this ealier this morning. We are approaching a full moon... Our other cat is not eating much, as well, though he did eat some of Leo's untouched food a few min ago... which is about three hours later than when they normally get fed. But Leo needs to eat! Hypo moments are stressful for all of us.

Hope our babies massively improve. ♡

The moon does weird things…..I think Tigers has something to do with sinus/nasal. Usually he coughs a couple times the day before and then only (usually) only vomits up liquid. And he sounds stuffed up when sleeping. Then eats fine but not today.

have you tried cerenia?
 
Have them write a prescription for ondansetron. I've paid over $100 for each prescription at his vet, to learn through this forum, you can get it much cheaper through GoodRx. $7 at some pharmacies. Check the GoodRx site; it will list the stores closest to you and the different prices at each place.

Make sure the vet has written the prescription for the correct dose too. My cat was being underdosed and I asked a few times for this to be changed. She refused so I dosed him accordingly.

My female (nondiabetic) hasn't been eating great, but it is because I'm trying to switch all of her food to low carb and completely cut out all kibble, which she is addicted to. I had to get some med carb wet for her last night because I was getting worried. She had protested for a few days. She wants nothing to do with a raw diet or cosequin in her food. She slowly understanding I'm not budging with the kibble. Dr. Elsey's made them both sick.

If the upset tummy is new, and there is no underlying known issues, you may want to visit the vet.

I hope you and Leo have a Merry Christmas. I also hope the kitties start eating better soon.

Leo has not but we've had a couple of episodes recently and it might be a god idea to have both on hand.
