Tea infusions too, by request. they is primo! I SWEAR! Today: Raspberry Zest! and..... since it is Christmas Eve: Eggnog!, very special Eggnog! Quad shot!

Yesterday was................ the day before Christmas Eve! and a yellow and pink stripped day. It was kind of a roller coaster type of day. Great amps, nice spike back down, back up, back down.... made me dizzy! :lol: I did go out yesterday and buy Mannie different foods, one's he has not eaten before, to see if part of the appy thing is that he's just tired of the foods that he had when being treated for the UTI, and the Giardia. Ann (Tess) mentioned that Tess had that issue while she was under treatment: regular foods were refused after, so.... i thought I'd see how new ones went with Mannie. SO.... Friskies SD Turkey and Giblets last night. I got some Blue Mtn, Evo, Purina one... Verdict on the Friskies SD turkey? He did gobble it up. SO far so good! I hope for a good day today. Maybe some blues and greens Mannie? Maybe? Lubs ya big guy. cat_pet_icon

It is Christmas Eve and the kitty is under the tree.
I had one last gift to get ready for Christmas - a kid sized table and chairs for DGS, assembly required. :shock: :shock: :roll: and the box was BIG, What was fun was that Mannie heard me.. made a mad dash to the room I was in, and began checking that box out from one end to the other. I had to tell him that NO, there were not 12 dozen nanners in there... just a table and chairs. He still waited and waited until I opened the box. :o NO NANNERS! :o :o :o Such a disappointment! He looked inside, looked at me, gave me his backside and went off to the nanner pile. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club (YES!!!), purrs and lots of cuddles. With encouragement, normalcy in MannieLand. :cool:

Have a great day everyone. Enjoy your Christmas Eve. I will be helping my DS take his cat to the vet in the morning to re-check his damaged cornea. We hope it has healed, Paws crossed. Maybe breffis after that. The rest of the day will be spent cooking what I can for Christmas dinner. A I hope maybe for a nice walk in the afternoon, a relaxing night on my sofa... Life is good!

Hey everybody! Christmas Party !!!! I cooked all kinds of really good fuds - a buffet of prime rib, and cordon bleu, and honey glazed spiral ham, roasted turkey, and glazed mandarin duck. YUMMMMM! I gots all the fixin's too! and pecan pie, and apple pie, and chocolate torte AND a flaming plum pudding. This will be so cool! Bus is all decked out, the tree is lit inside, and I gots lots of fleece for everyone.We is ready to roll! See you guys! I hope we can all camp out somewhere together and wait for Santa Paws. Looking good, Mannie! You have been such a good boy this year, I'm sure Santa Paws will bring you something good. No lumps of coal for you (or dosecreases as Tess might get :roll: ). You better find the blue floor, though, just to make sure. Michelle, do you think Mannie would be so interested in the tree if there weren't any nanners under there? :lol: :lol: Paws crossed for DS's kitty.

I hope everything goes well with the vet visit for you son's kitty. Hopefully his eye is fully healed. That's cute Mannie had to check out the box to look for nanners. He looks so cute under the Christmas tree. Hopefully Mannie will slide down and give you some blue today. Have a great Christmas Eve and Christmas.

I really had to laugh when Mannie made sure that the box was nanner free... it was cute. He has always loved the Christmas tree. We always say it isn't officially the holiday season until Mannie is sleeping under the tree. :-D Me too on teh slide into the blues today - paws crossed!

Morning Michelle, and sweet pics of Mannie under the tree. He is so gorgeous! I hope the different varieties help Mannie's appy get back on par. I know every once in a while I change Mags's fuds or give something special as a treat. Hey Mannie, wrong way up there at the +2, maybe food spike. So funny with the box. I hope you got it all assembled. I know I have a terrible time with anything that needs assembled. :lol: Sending good Vetty vines for DGS's kitty and hope he gets a good report on the eye. I hope there is time for breffifs, too.

My bean sez if you get coal for Christmas it could be lots of fun! She sez she saw a nice comfy looking coal bed with feathers sticking out and everything. The perfect place for a nap. And she sez there is even coal catnip toys that looks like fun to play with!

What wonderful pictures of Mr. Mannie :smile: Glad he is doing well and cleaned his plate this morning. Always a good feeling of releif when they eat well before their shot!
Hope you have a wonderful day and the wrapping goes well. Those assembly required things can be a bear! I highly recommend a chilled glass of wine during assembly....even if it's before noon :lol:

so cute about Mannie running to you to check out the box, Zeus comes running every time I make the bed and flip the sheets... Cracks me up as he dives between the sheets. Such helpful guys they are :smile:

Hi Ann - THX on the pics - it is his spot, he does love the tree. :-D I hope so too on the fuds - so far it has made a difference and not one refusal, but then again it's only been a day. Friskies SD has gone over well. The box and Manie was funny. I did get it assembled with one problem, one the screws is defective, but it is for a non-supportive part. Hopefully i can find replacement in that mess I call a garage.... it went together OK, but always seems to take more effort than they say it will. And I so suck at stuff like this! :lol: :lol: DS's kitty passed with flying colors! All is 99% healed, no more collar and no more drops. The kitty was very lucky - the laceration was within microMM's of needing eye surgery.

Hi Michelle - i know on that +2, and that +9. typical spikes for him, just wish they weren't pink.... well yupp on the foods, but I thought I'd see which ones he lied what he didn't and concentrate on those for a while. The new ones went over well last night. I know on Mr Picky. He never used to be like theism, but since the Giardia and the last UTI, we now have an appy issue. I have read that that side effect can linger long after the aliment is dealt with. Fun! not... DS kitty did well - all healed!! YAY!

Hi Josie - I love the new nickname - spike. It kinda fits... as he does them all the time! Thanks for the holiday wishes... and Mannie says: "bring on the Bailey's!"

I'm surprised that he didn't just want to play with the box after you got that other stuff out of it! Goodness, give Shasta a box or a bag and she is in heaven...until I take it away from her because she started chewing on it!!!

Mannie, it's time for you to give your mama bean her Christmas present and come down into the blues and greens. Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve and a fantastic Christmas Day! Can't wait to see pics of little Nicholas enjoying his Christmas time with you!

Hi Wendy - I hope he does - finds the blues tonight like he did last night. Not to sure though as the pmps is much higher, Well, we shall see what he decides to do. And yes - got the table all together and the chairs. There was one defective screw that I will have to find a replacement for, but other than that good to go! it's a cute little set, all wood, looks great. And I agree - Christmas is so cool with the little guys, and the fact that it is his birthday too makes it even better. :-D and DS's Cat is well: eye is healed, good to go, he just has to be careful for another week or so, so no outside yet.

Hi Barb - THX on Mannie';s pics. I agree, have always thought it was a pretty cat, great markings. OOOOOOOOOOOOOO! And go Checks! I told Mannie that Checks gets first dibs on the prime rib. :lol: We made that one Christmas a few years ago - Mannie went nuts when it was cooking. I don't think even eve chewed the pieces he was given. He too just loves beef. AH cool on the edit and DS's kitty. He did well. One very lucky cat that surgery was/is not required. PHEW!

When I was 5 years old, I got a table and chairs for Christmas. I was delighted because they were just my size. I still have them. :-D :-D

Sounds like Mannie had lots of fun even if he had NO NANNERS in the box!! Ahhh mama....couldn't you hide just one, he asks? Love the pics of him under the tree. That Mannie is one handsome boy. I sure hope he'll get back to his regular fuds....that smorgasbord thing is a pain.

HOpe all went well at the vet and that you've had some time to get in a walk and relax. Merry Christmas tomorrow with your family!

Hi Liz - It os way cool that you still have that set. AWESOME! I hope that Nicholas's reaction is the same as yours. It will be so nice I tin for him to have something that is just his size. Cool I think.

Hi Marje - yupp - hear you on the fuds... it is a pain Whatever happened to my eat anything anywhere anytime kitty. Log gone... there is always that doubt every time I go to feed him - will he want this? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. So hopefully a whole new line of fuds will get him interested again, I still believe that alot of this is due to his bout with Giardia, and two UTI's. I have read i several places that the side effects of that can linger for a very long time, after that problem has been revolved. oh well...we do the best we can. It is pain however to even find stores that carry some of these fuds.... LOL on the box - it was fun. I did cave and gave him anew nanner: happy kitty! and yes - always very good at the vet. Eye has healed. That cat was very lucky! THX on tomorrow. Merry Christmas to you too.
