Thanks for the tips on cooking the salmon last night. I'll cook it for the kitties later today. This morning, I want to bake some cookies for my vet, as he puts up with so much from me :cool:

Last Night:
276 PMPS

46 +6.25 (ate 1/8 can LC)

38 +7 (ate 1/4 can MC FF Medleys)

I'll call last night's dose increase a booster, and went back to his 0.75 dose this morning.
He ate all of his 1/4 can LC FF 1st Breffis YAY! and then ate just about all of Ginger's 1/4 can LC FF 1st Breffis, and then gave me a very nice prezzie in the box. There was a bit of diarrhea in there from last night, but I don't know which cat gave me that. I'm guessing it was J.D. But, this morning's was fine.
At +9.75 he wanted to go outside, but I made him wait until AMPS. He went out on the deck and had a nice long drink from the freezing cold watering can water, and then came back in to eat his (and Ginger's) food, and is now snuggling with Ginger in the big doggy bed.

Morning guys sorry about the high amps this morning, come down from there JD! That is nice of you to bake your vet some cookies! Sounds like a good morning so far, have a very nice Christmas eve!

Good morning ~O) How funny how kitties like to drink from any other water vessel than the fresh water we've provided! Icy cold from a watering can does sound refreshing.....Wishing you and JD a very happy Christmas Eve.

He's coming down pretty fine, so far.
And, he ate three 1/4 can Breffises of LC FF!
And, his weight is back up to 12lbs 8.5oz this morning at AMPS.

I can only guess that the reason for him eating well today, is that I gave him Ondansetron both AM and PM yesterday, and I was only giving it to him once a day in the AM.

I'm glad J.D. is eating for you today. I hope he continues to slide down for you. I'm sure the kitties will enjoy the salmon. That's nice of you to make cookies for your vet. Have a great Christmas Eve and Christmas.

He seems to have put on the brakes and stopped coming down,
but he just ate his 4th Breffis. And J.D. eating makes me very happy.

And, he won't eat anymore..of the LC food I served.

We went out in the snow earlier and he became a gray and white cat. Maybe, I should take him out in the snow again, and he'll eat when we get home. Argh!

This is going to be a fun night. I was just thinking I should sleep now, but now he's 74 :roll:
At least he likes his salmon. And Ginger was interested in the smell, but didn't eat any.
My house has gone from smelling like oatmeal cookies with nuts and chocolate chips, to fish :sad: Yuck.

Wow, what a slide today! Zener is proud of J.D. Keep that appy going, J.D. Think Georgia said that ondansetron needs to e given every 12 hours, very regularly like insulin.

Please forgive me but I had to laugh because I so identify! What we do for our kitties. Wow on last night's cycle and he's coming down again....do you think because he's not eating as much tonight?

I saw your question about Moose Milk. Deadly stuff :lol: :lol: :lol: Vodka, rum, kahlua, ice cream but the fainter of heart can put in some milk. I only had a tiny bit because all that booze would knock me out like a light.

J.D. only ate a little bit of it, and I bought a whole pound of it and cooked half. I pretended like I was a Norwegian and at some with crackers. I guess it's an aquired taste :roll: .

I just offered J.D. about 1/4 can MC FF Medleys in a bowl and Ginger was invited to share it with him, but J.D. gobbled/vacuumed it all up in an instant, and there was nothing left for Ginger. I swear He'll get his MC one way or the other, huh, J.D.? He ate really really well all day, and then ate all his 1st Dinner just fine, just like he's supposed to, ate it all right up, and then nothing..no interest in food. ....until the MC was served that is.

The only other time I ate salmon, I was at a barbeque and they had these beautiful looking big salmon steaks barbequed on charcoal webers. I sat down and ate one bite and I guess it was the look on my face but the guy sitting next to me said I'll eat it if you don't want it, and I happily gave it to him and he happily took it.

I feel like I have cat breath now.

I just fed J.D. another 1/4 can of MC (and Ginger got some too, this time). If this is only onset, we might have a while to go. At least I can sleep tomorrow.

Thanks for the Moose Milk ingredients, Marge. It sounds real strong. And like a hangover to be :lol:

Time to test again, I guess.

OMG JD!!! Really? Did you and Gabby go into cahoots for a PJ party tonight?

Oh yes....I think the Moose Milk could cause a major hangover because you can't taste the booze.

I think the PJ party is at your house. Gabby gave me the, "Feed me now." look at +1.5 and I started shoveling HC.

I had to laugh at the cat breath comment... Now that is funny! Salmon is not my favorite thing either! Zeus is not much of a fish eater, he likes the canned tuna now and then (not cat food tuna). When my grandparents were alive, the would sometimes give Smokey raw fish, they called it her sushi... Cracked me up. That was back when she was just a kitten.

Oh, and that Moose Milk sounds yummy... Kind of like a mudslide but with rum too. Could be dangerous if you can't taste the booze.

Merry Christmas, hope J.D. Brings that number up so that you can get some sleep tonight.

I just gave him 1 teaspoon of HC even though he's 59 (he was getting 1 tablespoon). Hey, it's Christmas, and he just loves it so much ..
and I get to sleep for 30 minutes now :)

Salmon..sorry...I've tried it all different kinds of way and it still taste way to fishy for me...fish breath...yep...that's the only way to explain it!

And Moose Milk....why, I just may have to give that a try!....one day...when I don't give a hoot about my own diabetes, lol! That sounds really good!!!
