Merry Christmas Eve Day from Baby, Sadi & I
All 5 Ps are in place, furry & purry.
Question: I have noticed that Baby's right ear has a lot of dark colored wax & have never noticed it before (left ear is clear) anyway, I have cleaned as much wax as I can without going into the ear canal because I know that is not safe. I do plan to take her to the Vet next week. Any thoughts? She is not shaking her head or scratching her ear & there are no signs of irritation or ear infection symptoms.​

Happy Christmas Eve! Nice looking numbers for Baby today! Any buildup of wax is a sign of possible infection even though she may not be bothered by it yet. It's good you are getting it checked out.

not sure about the ear wax but sounds like something is up, glad Baby will see a vet next week. Hope the visit goes well and its something easily dealt with.

Baby does have some great numbers today.

Nuts, I didn't realize that Baby had come back from the falls. (I've been lurking - but I guess not enough) I hope the trip back is a short one - wouldn't want the cabana boys to take over her condo.
Regarding ear - echo on glad that you are going to vets. Does the wax stuff have a bad smell??

We have been back 7 days today & she doesn't have a daily condo, so I wouldn't imagine everyone knows yet ;-)
I agree, a vet visit is in order & no there is no smell or anything.. completely normal. My heart & head are heavy wondering if something is wrong with her nailbite_smile I am comforted that her #s are not bad & that she does not have any alarming signs of something major. I will most definitely update after her Vet visit. I got some good advice in Health too. Baby is napping now & has eaten her mini meals for the day so far cat_pet_icon

Merry Christmas to you all nice numbers for Baby tonight Do Lou gets dark wax when his allergies are flaring up but it can be a sigh of infection as well so like the others said would have the ears looked at just so you know whats going on ;-)

Merry Christmas, Baby and Nicole. It's not a bad idea to get the ear checked out, but my civie Emily always has some ear wax buildup in her ears, and I just clean it out with a tissue periodically. She enjoys the deep ear massage.

ditto on what linda said...good idea to be sure...but binks just can't seem to keep his lil swivelers clean...been that way for about 4 yrs...so i just do it for him...

Ditto too on what Linda said. I have a civvie that does that too. Still would be worth having it checked out. Nice numbers for baby today- love those greens!

Surfing nicely so I can attend Christmas Eve Service at 11pm tonight.. will be back about 1230am & her AM shot will be at 3am ;-)

Im sorry to hear Baby is back for a visit. Maybe she just wanted to get in on the holiday parties??? ;-) I suspect with your good care, love, and dedication she will catch on and the trip here will be short. I hope the vet visit only reveals a minor infection or possible dental...something that can be treated and/or fixed relatively easy.

Ditto ditto ditto on what Linda said! Kitty gets dark wax regularly, and he has had multiple vet visits since it appeared -- no infections. DH cleans with a tissue, and Kitty loves it. He leans into hard!

Although Kitty DOES have high eosinophils, possible allergy...

Anyway, Baby's numbers are a big positive here. Maybe Santa will bring him another trip to the Falls. Hope so! :-D
 
have to echo what the others have already said... it's best to have your vet check her out.
