I can't believe I missed our own annifursary! I mean, I put it right there in the spreadsheet dummy!

The 19th marked our third year doing the sugar dance. Some days, it's like we actually know what we're doing. Others feel like the first day all over again. I'm not sure we'll ever crack Jenks' code, but we're thankful for this place every day for empowering us to give him the best life possible.

As for today, it's a middle blue opening. Not too shabby. That's down a respectable 74 points overnight. Numbers have been pretty quiet lately, so it is probably time to consider inching up a bit to 9.5U.

Happy Anniversary, Jenks! :bighug:

Good luck with the dosecrease when you decide to do it.

These types of annifuseries and bitter sweet but congratulations! He is seeing a bit of green on this dose. Have you considered just bumping him to 9.25 instead of going the full 1/2 unit? Hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Happy annifursary! The sugar dance always keeps you on your toes, no matter how long you've been doing it. :) :bighug:

Aw thanks everyone! You're all awesome!

Weird day so far. Down 50 points by +3, then a huge bounce by +9, then down sharply by PMPS. The +9 reading seems pretty suspect, but 6 hours is more than enough time for him to bounce. In all likelihood, that 111 was probably the result of some carryover action and he just continued down through AMPS.

If there's anything to account for the difference, it's that I did the AM routine, so he got a side shot instead of a scruff shot.

Jenks just kept on chugging tonight. He surprised with a reading in the 50s at the overnight feeding. So he got a little 9% food with some karo drizzled on top for good measure. That popped him above 100 when I tested him about 90 minutes later. Now we're waiting another half hour or so until +10.5 for the follow-up test to see if he's maintaining or heading back down. That should allot us enough time to get him on track for AMPS.

Numbers are already starting to wane a bit with 90 minutes left. He could easily shed another 20 or 30 points by AMPS to give a number in the precarious zone. So I've made the decision to give him a little gravy.
