I have been lurking even if I haven't been posting. Sue is still doing very well. He just plays and plays and plays. He is so happy that my husband is home for a month.

I have switched to a raw diet appropriate for CKD & Diabetic cats (per Dr. Pierson, of course). Chicken and Riley (CKD cat) eat the raw and Sue and Monroe are sticking with the Wellness Chicken for now.

You may remember that Chicken had a large tumor removed from her scruff that was biopsied and found to be vaccine associated malignant fibrous histiocytoma (that's a mouthful)! We meet with the radiation therapist on Monday and hopefully she can start treatments ASAP!

I have created a blog for Chicken that will chronicle her recovery and my upcoming fight for reimbursement with Pfizer if you are interested. I hope to raise awareness about appropriate vaccination sites (not the scruff!!!) and over-vaccination of kitty cats.

Thanks, everyone!!! I hope you all have a great holiday!!!

Love,
Jenny & Sue & Chicken & Riley & Monroe :)

I will be following Chicken's blog. I'll bookmark it so I can read it all tonight. I've thought often about Chicken and was wondering how she was doing. Great to hear about Sue too *clapping*

I too bookmarked the blog - which by the way is fantastic. Really nicely done! I wish the best for chicken. Good luck with the radiation therapy - I hope it goes well for her. Please keep us updated.

And kudos to you for taking on the drug company.

It is nice too to read that Sue is doing so well. Just the best. :-D

I also bookmarked chicken's blog. Very nicely done. Good thing you are raising awareness about appropriate vaccination sites, didn't know that and glad my vet does not use the scruff.

I hope you get good results with the radiation, I'll be following up on chicken.
