I'm a little disappointed Bell didn't stay in those greens for longer, but I am also very happy that she was able to hit greens again on this dose. I'm not surprised with how quickly she bounced after how quickly she dove into the greens last night.

I do think these upcoming cycles will be an interesting data point for her. Last night's cycle was almost identical to the 12/19 evening cycle, except she dropped more quickly to the greens in this one. She also hopped out of the greens much faster. I am hoping that Bell will recover from her bounce faster than the 4 cycles it took last time. Curious to see how it goes. I'm sure she'll pick Christmas to dive again :p

Hi Seth, Bell will come back down, patience is hard for us!
Let's see how long until she comes back down. Hope it's a gentle slide and you can get a good sleep!!!!
Bell looks like she has a smile on her face (a "knowing" look. Reminds me of the Mona Lisa kind of smile)
:bighug::bighug:

Hi Seth, did you hear from the urine test? Anyhow, it seems to be working what you are doing! Really happy she is back on track. I just hope she lets you celebrate Christmas a bit. Have a great time! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I have not yet, sigh… I think things are slow because of the holidays. I hope the delay doesn’t cause any issues in detecting any bacteria. I have to take Bell in on the 27th for her Solensia injection, so I will get an update then (assuming I don’t hear before then, which I doubt I will)

I think they will not delay the culture. Maybe the result is somewhere and they don't send it out because of the holidays. Or there is still something growing, which could mean the result is positive. But looking at Bells ss, it seems like you picked the right antibiotics. So I wouldn't worry that much. She seems to do fine.

I think that good cycle may have been a coincidence from the increase to 5.5 units (which I immediately scaled back because I thought the antibiotics were working). Too many variables at the same time :facepalm:. Hopefully I’ll get the culture results back soon so we can know for sure.

This is interesting to me. I took minner in last monday, the 16th. Vet called me wednesday saying culture was negative. I laughed and asked how on earth that could be known already, as they send to lab (idexx) so at most it could only be 1 day of growth opportunity being observed. He said he knows it seems strange but they have some kind of scanning technology that can tell if there is any bacteria present in the urine, if not then nothing will grow. He said he’s going to get more info about this for me. I am not sure what happens if the scan does detect bacteria, do they then put in dish and wait for growth … no clue.
