Yesterday

Not much to report here so far today. Of course I said the same thing yesterday morning, and look what happened :roll: !

Thank you all for your support during my little meltdown about the vet. I always find shoddy service irritating, but when you're talking about my cat - drawing blood and guessing as to which tests he's there for because you can't figure out your new computer system, well, "irritating" doesnt' quite cover it.

Anyway, since you guys get to hear about Mario on a semi-regular basis, I thought you'd like to "meet" him. This picture is a couple years old, but it's one that I could find quickly:



Mario rarely allows anyone this close to his personal space - I had to snap this picture stealthily, before he got caught touching Trixie!



Happy Thursday, LantusLand! This is my last day of work until next week, so it should be a happy one for me !

Happy last day of work for the week! Totally undersstandable about the vet meltdown. I think we've al been there...which is unfortunate to say the least. Love the pictures! What a handsome guy

Good morning Amy, I totally missed your condo yesterday and I'm sorry about the vet trauma. I often say about human health care "you need to be a doctor to see a doctor". Same thing is true for many vets. :sad: I am so grateful for everyone here in LL! Looking like a wonderful start to the morning cycle!

Thanks, guys! All my kitties have nicknames, and his is "Handsome". He seems to like it...he chirps when I say it :lol: !

Trixe LOVES her some snuggles...no cat or human is safe from her :lol: :lol: ! Mario is generally not a fan, though...usually he'll walk away when she tries. That's why this shot was such a rarity that I had to capture!

ETA: Yes, it really is a shame that you just can't trust vets and docs to do the proper thing...everyone is really responsible for their own health care. It's crazy. I'm lucky that they only screwed up bloodwork...thank goodness he wasn't in there for surgery!

Hi guys ... what a nice start to the day for trixie! And mario, my my what a handsome boy you are! I'm sorry about all the vet problem's yesterday, at least they made an effort and didn't charge you for their mistakes, a lot of places wouldn't bat an eye at that .. Hope you have a great day!

Mario is very handsome indeed, he does not look like a senior kitizen tho! Trixie's colors always amaze me, in her avatar pic she looks like a grey tabby but the in all other pictures she is not a grey tabby at all, what is she?

Very nice start for Trix's day. Awesome that you're done work now for a few days! I bet that's a load off your mind.

Sorry to hear about the vet mix up yesterday, when will you take Mario back?

What great pictures! Mario is a very handsome kitty and Trixie is adorable as always. Thank you so much for sharing them. What great numbers for Trixie again today. Yay!

The whole vet mix up thing is so typical and drives me crazy!!! Poor Mario. I know he really hates to go and it just adds stress to him every time you have to take him in. Thinking of you and all the issues you have had this year. 2012 is a brand new year and hopefully will be an easier one for you emotionally and financially.

That picture is a few years old. He does look a bit more "senior-ish" in person, but I don't think of him that way...he is arthritic, but he's also quite spunky! Mario actually looks a lot like Leo, but in gray tabby instead of orange tabby!

Trixie is a dilute tortie with stripey undertones. She does photograph interestingly...different colors show up every time. Sometimes she looks really orange, sometimes she looks plain gray, sometimes she looks like a straight up tabby.

Mario is going to go back after the New Year...that's when it makes sense to be testing his T4. Vet said it was fine to do the CBC at the same time, rather than having to do it right now. I still can't believe they "guessed" abou what bloodwork he was there for. I mean, even the vet said they didn't know why we were re-running a chem screen so soon after the last one. Sheesh! Ah well...it's in the past.

I am sooooo late for work...gotta get moving!

the night is still young here on the west coast, so i want to say hi before you close up shop! mario looks positively fabulous - his fur reminds me of my daughter's gray cat - so plush and touchable!

Sorry I missed the vent..I'll have to go back and check it out. BUT.....Trixie is looking great and I LOVE the Mario and Mario/Trix pictures. He is so handsome and she is a doll baby!
