Good morning, and with healing vines for all kitties and their beans in these journeys, and extra hearts hugs and vines for Cara @Cara and Wynken whose Wynken is now adding his mellifluousness to the GA chorus with so many of our beloveds. ❤️❤️❤️

Definitely hunker in weather here this morning. Did myself in yesterday. Although my quest to purge clutter is perpetual, this week's spurt I'm quite sure has as much to do with displacement activity to divert subliminal worry. The results of Sootie's more definitive biopsy study and the results of the study of Azalea's enucleation eye should be in soon. Crossing paws and also feeling quite superstitious about everything lately.

Sootie's ambg 65. Wasn't at the landing to greet, but came forth soon as I rattled treat bags. She foiled me again on the pharmos but super duper on the remedies and checking out the breffis.

Azalea was having a great snooze next to the radiator and was getting around very well, full of snuggles and purrs. Pretty much back to her old BAR self. During the night she made good use of LB, with some prolific presents for her bean. She must have felt a while lot better with the alimentaries in full swing again.

Wishing all a gentle day and with thanks for you all here in LL❤️❤️❤️

Great report for all! And both kitties look so good and especially Azalea! Who would know that she had just had surgery????
mellifluousness
Had to look that word up and I love it and will have to remember it to add it to my arsenal of poetic words.

Keep up the good work Sootie!!!!! What great timing for her !

Azalea is looking good. It sounds like she's feeling good too.

I hope you get good test results back for both kitties. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug:

looking good girlies... so close to the falls now Sootie i hear they are beautiful... and little miss Azalea you are looking so much better... continue to heal and gain your strength... hope you have a great day :bighug::bighug:

I'm so happy to read that both your girls are doing better. They look awesome in the photo. I agree that you can hardly tell Azalea just had surgery - just a little swelling still, but from what I can see her incision looks good.

I'm on my tablet now, so I can do graphics again.

Hi Carla and thanks! Sootie is being outwardly very blasé but can tell she is resting up to par-teeeeeee!

This morning Azalea was moving about steady and with her charecteristic spring in her step. Was sweet to see that sometime during the night she opted to come out from under the bed and sleep cozy in one of her favorite beds. Nice and warm next to the radiator. If I could curl up in her bed, I'd do the same! ;)

I'm still pinching myself, Amber! And crossing paws!

Hoping your day good and Lincoln having good day, too, resting up for festivities.:bighug:

Go Sootie! Go Sootie! Go Sootie! Go Sootie! Go Sootie! Go Sootie!

Thanks, Tricia. Sootie loves the graphics (I love them too)! Woo hoo.

Sootie just came downstairs and indicating that an early supper would be good. Dabbled in a bit of slurry with a sprinkled salmon on top. Now refamiliarizing herself to downstairs.

While replying , call from friend whose husband has been struggling with cancer and one treatment after another. she is arranging for home hospice care to begin PDQ. Heart breaking for them and the time that we wished would never come. We have been friends since kindergarten.

Such a good report on the kitties. Tomorrow's the big day for Sootie. Chef Rusty will have to get up extra early to work on his menu for the OTJ party before we leave for our Xmas travels.

Sorry to hear about your friend's husband. Sending vines of comfort to him and to your friend.

I apologize for not posting this earlier this evening....after my friend's call about making arrangements for home hospice care for her husband, I was on phone with her again and with our fellow friend from kindergarten (DH has always referred to us, in Gilbert and Sullivan fashion, as "three little maids of school are we...") and a dear mutual friend who has more current experience with home hospice care and local agencies than I have.

Sootie came downstairs about an hour or so before usual supper time, yearning for fud and company. Ate a bit of slurry, explored a bit and then showed some interest in new fud offer: FF, but again not much after a few bites. I'm gonna call vet tomorrow morning to see about her getting cerenia injection tomorrow. She roots me out with the cerenia pills (1/2 of a tab a day), and the omezaprole goo has become a disaster.

Sootie's +11 bg 84. Ate more when in front bedroom upstairs, Bella and Dancer watching in quiet from respectful distance, enough to give Sootie space company yet respect her wish for a little space.

When DH came home, he did his nightly visit with Azalea and 'reported' that she ate about 1/2 of supper then took a break. Sootie then hunkers in with DH for the night, their usual pattern.

Apologies for not so exuberant writing tonight. But we send bushelsful of vines for a gentle night with sweet dreams, for each and all and with our thank you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you, Ella and Chef Rusty. ❤️❤️❤️ The pathos in and balances of nature....

Sootie and her tribe and Beans want to be sure that Rusty knows how much we appreciate everyone's kindness and spirit in helping Sootie to reach this momentous day. We are grateful beyond words for all that has brought us to you and to this day of celebration, a celebration that Sootie says, in her stoic way, is the coolest of celebrations ever!
And, also because she worries about her friends, Sootie also wants to be sure that Chef Rusty won't throw his numbers off by getting up way too early or stressing about the menu!

She found her castanets (@Gussie's mom)
and is deciding on a party outfit. Never one for dressing up, she just might come au naturale with a garland of flowers or winter greens! I've cleaned the bell on her collar and will be sure it's sparkly and shiny and fud-free after her breffis.

Azalea is hoping she can join in the celebration and has been thinking about this outfit (see photo) but wants to ask @Bobbie And Bubba and @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey if they think she should wear an eye patch, too. It'll be her first time out (other than to vetty and that definitely is not a party!) since her surgery.

With all our love and heart of hearts for you, our most marvelous LL family of friends without whom we would have been quite lost by now! Vines for joyous gentle holidays, safe travels and friendly weather for all,
Sina, Sootie, Azalea and her tribe❤️❤️❤️

I'm so sorry about your friend's husband. I understand the pain and sadness you are feeling. I hope the friendship the three of you share wil help the one to bare the sadness that is to come. I know you will be there with all the support possible.

Good news on Sooting coming downstairs more. My cats made their own selections between up and down, too. The girls were up and the boys were downstairs. I hope you can get the Cerenia for Sootie and it helps. Will your vet give you a vial and syringes and let you do the injections yourself? I used to give my cats Ondansetron injections.

Sending more appy vines for both your girls and hugs for you and your dear friends. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It appears that we cross-posted. Of course Azaea may come to the party. The more the merrier. Not so sure about that outfit, however. Whether she wears an eyepatch is totally up to her - however she is most comfortable!

Hi Tricia thanks
Yes crossposting at play and my edit to correct my late night typos and inevitable auto correct mishaps.

Thank you for your support and prayers for my dear friends. Means all.

Yes, the upstairs downstairs habitations did come into play soon after Bo, Bella and Spunky arrived (and continued after rescue Scoops came to live with us for hospice care during her last year). And yes, initial habitation choices did seem to be along gender lines though not always: male Bo and female Spunky (who was ok with male but not fellow female cats); Sootie (also oy, all these new cats who don't quite get it yet!) with Azalea, Dancer and Bella (whose disposition was more conducive to being accepted by the oldsters) joining her over time. It all kinda evened out over time, though by then Sootie had settled in upstairs with her now Bffs continuing there with her in a solidarity of sorts.

As for Azalea's interest in that costume: it is an unusual selection for her, but she wanted me to ask for more opinions than mine!
So right now it's 1 yay (azalea) vs 2 agin'/eek!

If China can wear a lampshade on her head (and she has at several OTJ parties!) Azalea can wear an eye patch!!

That's right! China's lampshade! So cool! A hat party!

Have a feeling that Azalea (;)) gravitated to the costume pictured bc:
A) looks way more comfortable than her post-op COS ; B) she's so happy for Sootie and feeling pretty darn good herself that she thought "why not?"!

As for the patch: I have the feeling she was thinking solidarity in now being a member of the one-eyed cats fellowship. And she thinks Bubba is one cool dude indeed, eye patch and all!

Well, Azakea has always been quite independent and resourceful. As always, I go with the flow and follow her lead!❤️

but wants to ask @Bobbie And Bubba and @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey if they think she should wear an eye patch, too.
Absolutely she should if it is comfy for her. Together she and Bubba can see in stereo! I am so happy that she is doing so well in her recovery and her post op pictures are just fabulous!

Can't wait for the party, Sootie!!! With all that momma has been through in the last few months, please don't mind if she over imbibes while celebrating ;)

Unfortunately, I can relate in the friends that are ailing department. Wednesday, I had mentioned my friend in the assisted care living and not sure if she will get out of there. Another friend is battling pancreas and liver cancer. We are too young for this! Sending you comfort hugs!

And about your writings, always exuberant! Always poetic; love reading your post. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
