Keeping Cara in our hearts this morning. Wynken is flying free.
Good Morning, L&LL,
Rusty got a fur shot yesterday evening. Another dollar into the basket! That makes $5. for 2016: I'm getting much better after all these years, but that may change in January when we have to switch to and get used to a different syringe (we are coming to the end of the boxes of Terumos from Tess's bequest (@Ann & Tess GA ). Thank you Ann
!
These are busy days. Tomorrow we leave for a family Christmas and will return home on Boxing Day (26 Dec.). Edward is baking the Pistachio coffee ring today. Our tree here still isn't decorated, but that may get done this afternoon. No gifts have been wrapped (and there are still a few things to buy).
We had a great Winter Solstice celebration yesterday. A small group of us took a hike along the railroad tracks and through the woods, then we gathered for a bonfire and refreshments.
Rusty watched a Disney nature film on TV last night. I believe the name was "Pippi", the name of the tree squirrel who was the "star". Rusty got so excited that he tried to climb into the TV and almost knocked it off the stand! I think some parts scared him, like when a great horned owl swooped down, or when a martin attacked her prey. Anyway, he was really keyed up and dashed around the living room after the film was over.
Rusty and Edward and I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you, our dear L&LL friends, a very Happy Holiday Season. Here's Rusty's Holiday Card:
Yo Kitties and Beans, Yep, that ornament looks like me, so I'm sending it to you with my greetings. See that Miss Chorister Mouse? She shares a branch with my ornament every year. We have a Christmas truce.
Happy Holidays to all my friends!
~ Rusty
p.s. we'll be without wi-fi over the weekend. I'll have my phone, but probably won't be able to post very much. Everyone have a safe and wonderful Holiday.
