My vet called in a script for a compounded bupe transdermal that I will apply to Maggie's ear. She's going to love that with her sensitive ears... Should be ready to pick up later today. She seems to feel better, but I know how well cats can hide pain.
An OTJ trial is scheduled to begin on Christmas day if Maggie doesn't have any pre-shots above 120 or take a dip into shark territory between now and then. (anti-jinx)

If she has been hiding pain, the bupe should help... and that may lower her BG more too

I am glad you were able to get the transdermal stuff for her. Once she connects the ear touching to feeling better, she may allow it easier.
