Freckles will forgive you. One of our members had a fur shot jar. Put a dollar in every time you do a fur shot. At the end of the year, buy something nice for you.

That's a great idea! I think I just need to wait and let Freckles eat more of her meal before I give her the shot. She's so busy horking down every morsel that she becomes a moving target.
I timed Neko. It took her less than a minute to eat, so I waited until she settled down to bathe before poking.

Hahaha. Never thought of timing Freckles. She is a source to contend with if you are between her and her food!

My tendency is that the needle ends up coming out the side of the 'tent'. I am reading up on the 'roll' method but I don't seem be able to get a nice 'part' in the fur to be able to see the skin. Can't seem to find any videos on the 'roll' method either.
I rolled but Gracie was short haired. Check out this video done by a long-time member with a long-haired kitty.

Nice. Thanks Marje! I never thought about blowing to be able to see down at the skin! Freckles is short haired but she doesn't have a lot of loose skin and her fur doesn't seem to part really nice. I will try it for the PM shot! This video showed a nice clear view

Don't be hard on yourself. We all do fur shots from time to time. Freckles will get back on track.
