Yesterday: 12/21 Bama Kitty AMPS 162 +3 126 +5.5 119 +9 136; PMPS 172 +3 157 +6 157 +9 159
Bama seems to be stuck in a tight BG range. Good there are no surprises but no greens. Maybe we'll start pursuing greens again after Christmas. He got up most testing times last night, but not the +6. Ate reasonably well. Seems thirsty this morning. Had to skip yesterday's sub-q session. Trying to maintain, at least, a 2 or 3 day streak of sub-q sessions followed by no more than a 1 day skip. That way I am almost following the vet's instructions to give fluids every other day.

Have not found it yet. Pharmacy doesn't have it, did not seem interested in ordering it so I will have to call around to find it. I really don't know the vet's reason in not wanting daily fluids.

I suppose he was more thirsty because of the skipped sub-q. Perhaps you can mention it to the vet so he/she will agree that Bama needs them more often?
 
Do you need your vet to agree? Let him think you're giving fluids every other day. Do you need a script from him to get fluid supplies?

I think it may be different from state to state. I know that Thriving Pets said they don't ship the fluid packs to Alabama. I guess my next step may be to ask for a script and buy it from other places.
