Dyana: LOL... I think that is about all he does ....but he is an old man...

The hot tortie in the house gets him playing every once in a while.

Re: 12/22 Atlas AMps 210

I saw your note on the meter issues in your condo from Tuesday. Check out the Infinity meter on the Hocks site. The meter is $10 and the strips are around $17 for 50. Someone here mentioned they were using the Infinity and like it.

Re: 12/22 Atlas AMps 210

Hi Sienne,

I'm not so sure it is the meter... although I think you commented the other day when we went from a 54 to 174 in a half hour....and we did get the ensuing bounce response.

It sure wouldn't/doesn't hurt to have a back up meter...if the darn things battery works ohmygod_smile .

Looks like there is a special running for the meter and 50 test strips. $20

Re: 12/22 Atlas Pmps 452 (grooming question)

For all the long hair cats out there...

Remember we had that matted fur on the back near the rump ...oh...5-6 weeks ago?

Well there is not another mat, but the fur in that area is still coarse and stiff. Attie acts like the area is still tender too. The vet didn't comment on it when we saw her, but I didn't think to point it out either.

Of course the area is thin too, because we cut much of the matted fur away. So I can't say it is thinning on its own.

The little bit that I can see of the skin it appears fine?

Thoughts?

Sorry about your strips. I thought of you today when I saw the recall.

Regarding the rump hair, I keep this patch of fur trimmed all the time for Maverick. He has a sore hind end and just doesn't groom well back there. He is also sensitive in his lower back and legs. Maybe its the start of arthritis? Maverick also seems to get oily fur and flakes back there too. We brush him but I wish I could bathe him once in a while. That would be way way too much for him though. I figure as long as I keep the fur trimmed, its much better than not. It doesn't look very nice - he has dark grey fur but a light grey undercoat lol.

hi beth...no input, of course...but hope that boy comes down soon.
attie! binks would like to see you on the lower floors pronto!

Karrie thank you for posting the information about the recall.

It was just so weird to see reading like that. While I know Attie can be a bit unstable...having strips that could potentially complicate matters...well...ugh!

I had commented a couple weeks ago too ...about the strips sipping funny. Like the strip being full, but not triggering a reading. And yes there was plenty of blood...

So I wonder if maybe the previous box(es) were at issue too.
