12/20 (saw green last night, first time in 7 cycles)

AMPS=180

Didn't eat his +7.5 or his FD @ +9.5 but was lip licking and hunting for plastic on wake up and was acting like stomach acid was coming. I quickly gave him 3 FD treats and he was fine.

Glaucoma tests results were the same as they have been for about 10 years now, results looks like it could develop but I do not have it yet. She wants me to try and get the results from 3 years ago (last tests) that were done at a different doctor or come back in 6 months. I will probably just go back in 6 months.

What is the difference between the pancreatic enzyme and digestive enzymes? Reading through the links on Wes' (@saltycat) thread yesterday and noting your [previous] concerns about the panc enzymes I am confused because it appears that they have the same ingredients.

This is what I have been giving Gizmo for about 3 years (with no issues)

CONTAINS: Each 2.8 grams (1 teaspoon) contains a minimum of:
Lipase 71,400 USP units
Protease 388,000 USP units
Amylase 460,000 USP units
Vitamin A 1,000 IU
Vitamin D3 100 IU
Vitamin E 10 IU

And this link talks about the first three ingredients as essential

And the DE you noted has the same primary ingredients

The difference is that pancreatic enzymes, like you are using, come from raw porcine (pig) pancreas. All of the true “pancreatic enzymes” like Pancreved, Viokase, Pancreplus, etc, use only porcine pancreas.

The digestive enzymes are typically from plant or fungus enzymes. Even if you look at Dr. Becker’s digestive enzymes (and she likes animal based enzymes over plant), she does not use all porcine pancreas; she also uses the less concentrated plant enzymes mixed in.
