Yesterday started out with what I thought was a low pink bounce and then down to the blues. Then the afterbounce (or delayed bounce) really kicked in during the evening. Today is starting out similar to yesterday's AM.

It's raining still or again here. No ventures outside by the furry ones. All curled up and napping on fleece.

Today I really have to start getting things moving around here. DM called last night. Seems she fell down yesterday on cement while in town and was wondering if she should go to the clinic because she is sore other than where she landed. She lives on an island with a small doctor's clinic, her own doctor is a ferry ride away. Anyway, she went to the doctor this morning, and fortunately nothing is broken, but she's going to have to keep her feet up and do nothing for a couple of days. That means I'm off to the island tomorrow to finish getting the house ready for the family to show up on Christmas Day. Hey, I didn't need that extra day to get things done! I might not be on the board much, lots of sewing, baking, etc. to do. And fingers crossed the car repair place will have DH's car done today. We dropped it off last Thursday with a cracked radiator hose and they had to send to Toronto to get a replacement. When it rains, it pours, just like the PNW.

Good luck getting everything done that you need to. I hope your DM heals up okay. That's good nothing was broken. Hopefully Neko will surf safely for you for the next couple of days.

I hope Neko decides she's had enough of this bounce. I'm glad DM didn't break anything, Jeesh, that must have been scary. Don't forget to enjoy the holiday.

What are you doing with your spare time? I'm glad to hear DM didn't break anything. I hope all is well soon . . You are so right - When it rains it pours. I hope the sun comes out ...right now.

Looks like the bounce is slowing down a bit. Whew! Neko was STARVING for an hour before dinner. I wanted to put in ear plugs. :lol: It doesn't help that we are trying to move shot time back an hour (15 mins a day) to accommodate family dinners over the next little while. DH called about the car, now they are saying Monday. They got the hose in but are missing another small part. You all know the tune "All I want for Christmas is my car back...".

On the positive side, the table runner is quilted, just have to do the binding. The tree is purchased and up. We are late normally we use DH's car to get it.

@Carla - I made good progress today, so looking good. Neko seems to be easy down now, but DH can deal with her while I'm gone.

@Liz - Neko seems to be slowly saying goodbye to the bounce. Many years ago, DF broke ribs and tore his rotator cuff on Christmas Eve, so I'm always a bit tense around this time of year. DM is feeling much better this evening. It's seeming more like Christmas with the tree up now.

@Mary - The sun came out a bit this afternoon, while we were getting the tree. Which was a first, normally we are picking a tree in the rain. Things are looking up tonight, except Neko's BG.

Oh my! Wish DM is getting better. Got to take care especially during seasonal holiday period where all clinic will be closed (?)
