LL beans! It is I!, Mannie, kitteh barista! For today I proudly offer Mannie's special 10 hr energy coffee, and Triple shot espressos, beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Argentina, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: A venti quad pumpkin spice mocha, laced with cimmamum and nutmeg, topped with a caramel infused whip cream, garnished with pumpkin nut crunch, cimmamum sugar clusters and a dusting of cocoa... ....OH! I am sorry that I missed so many of you yesterday, yet again. We are still battling the waters and the flooded basement. Good news is that the rains have stopped for now, no additional liquid sunshine has entered the house. That is a relief... Pretty soon the kitties will be able surf on their surf boards down there. :lol: :lol:

Yesterday was.... what a difference a drop makes day. A great day in MannieLand. For now I will keep the fattened dose - he seems to like it. it did what it needed to do: jump start him. I'd like to see what he can do with it, and if it becomes to high maintenance then we will go back to the prior dose.It was so nice to come yesterday and find him green,. WOOT! Well done Mannie! Lubs ya big guy. cat_pet_icon Now about that amps this morning.... let's head on down, 'K?

All is well in MannieLand. Our flooded basement does not seem to bother him much. He and Elsa spent that that first night checking things out, as the water started to come in. They knew something was amiss... Mannie doesn't seem too bothered by it ll, but then again he is my upstairs kitty. Elsa prefers the basement, and is quite upset about the condition of the carpets and the floor. She does not seem to care for wading.. she is upset, and I really do feel for her. She's been staying upstairs, but off in a corner. Poor kitty, We've been trying to give her extra cuddles and hugs, to help he feel more at ease. i hope that the floor will be better by tomorrow so that she can get back to sleeping on my bed. oh yeah - my bed is in the flood zone. I get to wade to bed each night :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: FUN! Yesterday was also another great Mannie ad DGS day: breffis together, and a few hugs from Nicholas. Neither were in running form, so all was indeed well in Mannieland! This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club: barely (what a relief, and phew!), purrs and lots of cuddles. With encouragement, normalcy in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone. I am on DGS duty for the remainder of the week" WOO HOO!: today. I am not sure what we will do today, probably swim day and I hope for a short hike after that - we so hope for good weather!!! I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everybody! More COOKIE WEEK!. I so hope Tess and bring that KitchenAid Mixer thingie again. That was so cool! We were making cookie after cookie! Hey you guys wanna travel today too, and visit some cookie shops?? Maybe we could bake at Rusty's, or Maui's, or Tess's, or Oliver's, and then hit the road. What'd'tya think? You guys in? Sorry to hear the basement is still flooding .. poor elsa, it just upsets them so much when things aren't as they should be .. Morning Michelle and so sorry about your flooded basement, but thank goodness no more rain today and hope the sun shows its face, too! Poor Elsa, they sure do not like change and their territories. I hope by tomorrow things will settle down, and Elsa will get her room back to herself.
It is amazing what an added drop will do to their cycles. I have a hard time explaining it to my Vet, but he can see from Mags's ss. I am always amazed, too. I hope Mannie likes this dose.

Mannie, come back down, nothing up there. I'm sending Zener with the ropes. I think you just need a tiny tug. I hope the basement dries out quickly. Do you have a dehumidifier and fans? That's what we used when we had a flooded basement in a previous house.

Good Morning, guys,

I sure hope your basement dries out today, Michelle. A dehumidifier really helps, as we found out during our bout with the flooded basement in 2011. Once you get the water out, the dehumidifier will keep the place from getting molds and other unsavory things. Are you sure you want to sleep down there? And Elsa too? It's winter and you don't need extra damp. Do move upstairs until the space dries out!

Mannie, I see some NDW is going on today. Cookie baking will help. I'm doing my last batch of Xmas cookies today and Rusty needs some help. Bring the gang, OK? The coffee this morning was the best ever!

317 @ +9. What a relief, did what an ugly bounce this morning. Poor Mannie. This was one of the few times that I could tell he did not like how he felt - reminded me when he was first diagnosed and lived in the 600's. I so hope he can continue down, and not bounce back up.

Morning Ann hey thx on the basement, but things are much better today. Water is practically gone, now we just have soggy carpets to deal with. I hope we can get that rectified by tonight. I know on Elsa - I feel so bad for her. GOOD NEWS!: when we home from the pool she had ventured downstairs and was asleep on the bed. YAY!!! Oh Yes on the cycles and the added drop. I had hoped it was all he needed, that has worked in the past. LOL: I gae uo explaining that part to my vet. Now she lets me handle all the FD stuff. :shock: THX so much on the pics and the vids!

Morning Lisa Well, yes the first night we did (wade depth was only 1"). We'd been up so late and had no time to make any other sleeping set up - just not alot of space to do that short of sleeping on the floor... Last night it was mostly squishy carpet... :shock: :? Morning Ella THX on the basement - the bulk of the water is gone, just a few soggy areas on the carpet. We hope that have them dried out as best we can today. We will get a de-humdifier too -we did that the last time we were "underwater" - it makes such a difference. Well... first night we had no choice on the sleeping thing.The "flood" had just begun, only 1/3 of the basement was under when I went to bed. At that time we didn't expect it to be full coverage, as previous floods had not done that. We woke up to the mess, where all was covered, Just no choice that night. Last night we felt the bulk was gone, and safe enough to sleep there. I so appreciate your concern - thank you!

Morning Ann THX, basemetn is progressing. water pools are gone, just a some very soggy carpets remain - damn things act like sponges... Things are much drier down there this afternoon. Thanks too for your concern - it is more than appreciated. If there was a foot or more etc no way would we be sleeping down there. Problem is that DH and I are on very different schedules, and no where really to sleep upstairs short of the sofa, and if we did our schedules would be a major conflict... so we elected to maintain things. Last night was OK - just soggy carpets.

I am remembering that there were special fans that this company used that blew air under the carpet. They pulled up a corner and stuck the fan under there to get everything dry. Much better, Mannie!

I am writing on behalf of Maui because right now she is in bed covered from head to paw in flour, sugar and butter! She smells like cinnamum too! she wants you to know that the jet is gassed and Maui picked everyone up for another fun day of cookie making. I do have to ask that you all please come back and clean my kitchen. I walked in to find flour everywhere on the ceiling, all over the floor and butter in places I'd rather not say....what happened did that mixer explode?! Maui's not talking, well she is talking, but keeps saying, I ain't seen nuthin! Now what is a bean supposed to do with that?

so, please wrap up today's events and come back for a good cleaning!

Poor Elsa...our sweet kitties are just so sensitive and they don't like when their routines are disrupted. I'm glad the basement is improving and she found her way back to the bed!

thanks for coming back to clean up my kitchen Mannie and Oliver - you boys did a super job. there was so much giggling that I am surprised you managed to clean up. But I guess tying sponges to your butts and sliding across the floor is lots of fun! and whose paw prints are on the ceiling? It looks like someone stepped in chocolate and ran across the ceiling...and what happened to the plate of cookies? there are only crumbs left on the plate! If you boys ate them, I hope they were sugar free otherwise your beans are going to have to peel you off the ceilings.

and whose idea was it to wash maui too? you were just in the cleaning mode and couldn't help yourselves?
