Morning and sure need Mannie kitteh Barista's Espressos today! ~O) ~O) I had a feeling I did a bad shot yesterday at the pm when I saw Mags's +3 at 194! She had a nice PMPS at 149 and normally has a nice drop at +3!! I give Mags fluids normally at the same time at 1:00 pm. Yesterday I had a lot of errands and then was stopped a couple times by neighbors wanting to chat, so I got home later than normal. I did Maggie's fluids closer to 2:00 pm, so I was off an hour my routine. Her shot was at 3:00 pm, and the scruff where I shot was still puffy with the fluids, so now I don't think it was absorbed. Does anyone here give fluids and had a similar experience? Other than that hiccup, all is well with Mags. I know this is a question for Tanya's CRD forum but spend so much time here and welcome any thoughts.

Detective Poo, little Mags had prezzies. :-D it was a nice long prezzie and better consistency this time, not too soft! Now we need a poo report on Moonie. Mags woke me up an hour before the alarm went off, and the mouse pole toy was strewn across the floor near my bed. :lol: Wishing all a nice Friday. I'll know better what my day looks like after coffee.

Ann - I'm with you there on the Mannie Special of the Day. ~O) I've been up since 1:30 am with His Royal Fartness, refusing to eat due to the storm. I have no advice on the fluids - I never thought about that before. I hope that doesn't mean that it acts like she gets a bigger dose later!

Hi Lisa, just saw your post up there. I've been up since 1:30 am, too, with the Princess here! :lol:
Usually the fluids settle in more if I shoot a couple hours later, so hopefully this is a lesson learned. :?

A nice drop after the failed shot at the pm yesterday. Maybe Mags will get to the Green Lagoon again today.

Hi Ann and Maggie, I know nothing about fluids sorry, I am sure there are others here with experience. Hope you didn't have a bad shot but those are higher numbers than ususal for Maggie. Hope she hits green today. Well I am sure things will improve in the pm. Have a great Fursday, we are all still here so I guess the world didn't end hahaha.

No greens this cycle I'm afraid, but we'll take blues under the circumstances. Guess Mags is giving me permission to go out and about this morning.

Hi John, so true sometimes with neighbors not even knowing one another's names. This is a very friendly complex. There's a mix of ages, but quite a few retired, too. I always make time to get to know them, and I rarely make it to my car without bumping into someone I know or who has a friendly "hello."

Lisa & Leo :lol: on the Princess and His Royal Fartness ! Yes, they must be conniving together. I did get in a 20 minute dose type of nap but thought I'd get out early to finish some errands i didn't get thru yesterday.

Nice recovery on the numbers. I'm not an expert on fluids either, but I think I remember someone saying it is best to give them in different places, for the reason you described. Maybe Marje?

I hope you get your shopping done today. Just a couple more here, but we still need a tree.

Ann & Tess, it was a real rat race today getting a few things done. I just have to pick up some cat fuds tomorrow and I'll be done.
 
Maggie had a pretty good day considering the messed up shot. Hopefully she'll give you some green tonight. Yay on the prezzie today.
 
Hi Ann,

I don't worry about the same spot as much as the time when I give Racci her Adequan. I give it to her about 4-5 hours after her insulin so the insulin is already circulating in her system. I think it makes sense to not use the same spot and to spread the time out though.

Nice going for Maggie with every other day. As long as it's regular and she's comfortable, it's good. :-D

When Moonie was at the vet she hadnt had her shot, and she had had fluids, and I asked about giving her her shot in that bubble area in the scruff and the vet said it wouldnt be a problem....Dont know if that helps you any, but Moonie & her shot were fine.
Dont we just love our Prezzies, pray for prezzies everyday...for Mags & Moonie..
