Furball was happy & purry this morning. I hope all the insulin got it. I jabbed my finger as I was giving the shot. I have to be gone this afternoon. I hope she surfs safely.

I think karo syrup wears off pretty quickly, but I'm not 100% sure. I think your AMPS will be the true number. As far as shooting, it will depend on whether you can test all day. If he's over 60, I think you can shoot if you can monitor. You can try feeding a higher carb food at AMPS to keep him from dropping quickly.
 
I just tested about 1 3/4 hrs after the Karo syrup and he is 57. I'm going to feed him and stall for an hour and see if feeding brings his BG up.
