? 12.21.22 Chispa, 118 AMPS, 108 PMPS, 59 +3. Time for another reduction?

DBF reported feeling a drop of Lantus on Chispa's fur tonight (partial fur shot), but despite that, she tested 59 at +3. I told him to feed MC and leave two MC meals in the feeder, but I would like her to stay in the higher greens or even low blues while I'm away for two weeks. Would it be reasonable to consider another reduction, even if temporary? This would be her third in a week.

The previous depot would have been out of the picture tonight. 5th cycle on this dose, so it's not a back-to-back reduction. You could take her down to 2.75U if you'd rather not have her drop to the 50s when you are away. See what the others say.

Thanks, Bhooma. Other than that weird drop to 42 last week, I hadn't seen 50s since November, so it makes me nervous.

@tiffmaxee Thanks so much for weighing in. DBF will be testing her at AMPS and PMPS, and also at PM +3, but not at all during the day.

I’d play it safe. If she seems to start to trend up and stay up then the dose could go back up.
