It looks like Zener came down overnight. Nice job, big guy! His appetite is definitely improved this morning and he was eating with a bit of gusto. Anne will give him some more bupe when she gets up. He's btb with Anne now. And I am going to pack for my 3 day trip to Tucson to visit two sisters and Marje & Gracie! I have to be careful because Zener tends to pee in suitcases. :lol: :lol: :lol: I'm laughing now but that's not what I do when it's fresh. Little rascal. Hard to pack for 60 F when it's 30 F here. Thinking of ailing kitties and beans and especially Sonia as she grieves Tom's passing. Have a great day LL.

Well well so nice to read that Zener is feeling better. I guess his lil mouth was still sore after all, poor fella. now those numbers just need to come down and all will be great!

We used to have a cat that would pee in suitcases too, I wonder why suitcases? If only they could talk huh?

I think that's a good guess. Cleo (GA) was always good while we were gone, but as soon as we got home she would poop right in the living room doorway! ohmygod_smile

Liz is off for Tucson. Tillie, our civvie, was not bothered in the least. Zener looks just a little bummed but he is resilient.

@Devon - Liz will have a good time seeing family. One of her nieces lives in Australia and she hasn't seen her in several years. We have paws crossed Zener keeps going in this direction! :thumbup

@Tracy - our vet thought his mouth was likely still sore and could be for another week. We have plenty of bupe and go back on Tues for another check. Thanks for keeping me busy with LL while Liz is away! ;-)

@Ann & Tess - we feel a little silly we didn't think at all about adding the bupe back when he started eating less and numbers rising. I think we were just afraid he still had root left behind or an infection, thinking the worst of course! Keep encouraging him to eat. Liz talks to him and tells him he needs to eat so he can patrol his backyard! Yowser on the poop! I wonder which one - pee or poop - is the strongest statement of displeasure? :roll:

He continues to come down nice and slow since last night and he is eating small meals today much better than the past two days. We like this nice slow slide and are hoping to see a more beautiful color today. :-D

We are so glad to hear that Zener is feeling better and eating more easily. Good boy! Now his numbers can start to come down. Do your suitcases look like litterboxes??

Well poopy, we were hoping for a better start to this cycle. He is eating like a lumberjack so perhaps some of this is a food spike. He ate about twice what he has been eating at PMPS. Bupe given, just in case he is feeling pain and the morning dose has worn off.

@Ella - we agree, come down numbers! Zener doesn't care what the suitcase or bag looks like. If it's yours and your leaving, he will "express" his opinion! I don't think Liz will be too hot in Tucson, it's been in the 50s daytime and 30s at night, but a change from here where it's been 30s daytime and teens at night. So far, me and the kitties are doing okay. Except for Zener's numbers. :sad:

Will get a check at +2, just in case, he decides to take the express train. He dropped quite a bit last night after the bupe.
Sending lots of positive energy to Celi, Binks and the tortie girls for the sudden illness of Tam tonight.
