Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty is starting off another day in green. We are so proud of him! I gave a short shot again this morning (not on purpose, but I think that I will start giving a skinny 1.75 from now on, since he seems to be doing well on it). This evening will be the last draw from the current cartridge (we are on day 43 and the cartridge is virtually empty), so tomorrow morning we will begin a new one, from a new Canadian box of 5 (always a little scary to start a new box: will the cartridge be OK?; will new juice drop his numbers too much?, etc.). Anyway, it's better to begin a new cartridge now, rather than to try to get a couple more days out of the old one and then have to start a new one while we are away at Xmas.

Rusty had a brief tour outside this morning, but the little bit of snow that we have was cold on his feet and the squirrels were nowhere to be seen, so he came in and is now chillaxin' on the radiator.

I baked the last batch of Xmas cookies this morning!!! Later this week I will make some "Incredibles", which are peanut-butter bars with dark-chocolate topping and don't have to be baked. Great energy food for the outdoors!

Lots to do today. Everyone have a good day.
Keeping Sonia in our thoughts and sending healing vines to all kitties and beans who are under the weather.

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81

gorgeous start Rusty. You need some boots if you're going squirrel hunting in the snow.

Enjoy your day and save a cookie for me!

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81

Uh oh, Checks is reading over my shoulder, and drooling at the thought of freshly baked cookies. Watch for his face at the window also.
What a gorgeous start to Rusty's day. I bet that's got you singing, while you bake..(or non-bake).
I'll be watching for that no-bake pb/chocolate, cookie recipe.

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81

Hi guys, I guess I have no choice but to post the recipe, so here it is. I got it from my friend, Ann, so I'll call it Ann's Incredibles:

Ann's Incredibles:

3/4 cup melted butter
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
12 oz. chunky peanut butter
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
12 oz. bittersweet chocolate chips

Combine butter and graham cracker crumbs. Beat in peanut butter and sugar. Spread in 9x13" pan and frost with melted chocolate chips. Let set at room temperature and cut into squares.

We had these at our Columbus Day picnic/paddle and they disappeared so fast it was truly "incredible".

Enjoy!

Ella

Wonderful AMPS Rusty! Hope you have a great day Ella...(uh...those Incredibles are not on the Paleo Diet, are they?
I feel as if I put on 5 lbs just reading the recipe...LOL)

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81

Wow Rusty, those are some nice numbers! I agree, Rusty needs some kitty booties for the outdoors, how cute would that be?

Those Canadians make the best insulin Ella, don't you worry about the juice!  I'm kidding, but I'm sure the new pen will suit Rusty just fine.

The treats sound yummy!

Have a great day Ella and Rusty.

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81

Rusty has decided that the Green Lagoon is just his spot! I heard he is boulding a cabana there!

I think I'm going to need a whole recipe box just for your recipes! I think I have to make thst pistachio ring again this year, too! YUM!

Hey Rusty, after cookie inspection we can come here. No snow and the squirrels live in the ground! -- Tess

Nice green ride Rusty!! Keep it up buddy. Stay inside where it is warm and your toesies won't freeze.

Have a great day Ella!

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81, +5.5 64, +9.5 70

Ella, I think I gained a couple of pounds just reading the recipe!

Happiness is a green cat. I hope you're both having a fabulous day.

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81, +5.5 64, +9.5 70, PMPS 95

Hi again,
Rusty had an all green cycle. I had planned to start a new cartridge of Lev. tomorrow, but the old one had only 1 drop left in it (this is a first for us!!), so I opened the new box of cartridges tonight. The shot was suspect and hopefully it all got in (I shot the skinny 1.75 that we've been flirting with). I hope the new box is good. The expiration date (10/2012) is earlier than the box I just finished (12/2012).
Rusty had a low-key afternoon, spending most of it napping. I had to send back a Xmas present that was the wrong size and lost a couple of hours this afternoon doing that. Now I should write some Xmas cards, but I think I'll visit condos instead.

Everyone have a good evening. We hope that those of you in the southwest and the plains states are OK. That sounds like quite a blizzard.

Very nice!

bummer on the present return. Amazing that it takes so long to do something so simple. well maybe it's not so simple. did you do your cards? I just did mine yesterday....

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Re: 12/20 Rusty AMPS 81, +5.5 64, +9.5 70, PMPS 95

Nice numbers, Ella! It's great to see a kitty doing well because then I can see it and believe it.

The blizzard moved south of Denver so we only received about an inch of snow. Our friends in northern New Mexico got a ton, and I'm envious! Being snowed in over Christmas sounds lovely, especially to those of us who aren't going anywhere. Thanks for visiting my condo! I hope you're having a pleasant evening.
