Of course you are, Jennifer! I become frustrated and discouraged too, because it seems as though no matter how hard I try to regulate Mookie's diabetes, he doesn't respond to what I'm doing--not according to his numbers, anyway. But I know he's getting better, and I know it'll take time. Mikey will get better, too. Hang in there; you're doing great.

hi jennifer! we've all felt that way. i think if i were you, i'd go up another .25u tonight. he's been 8 cycles at the 1.75. it just might not be enough insulin. ya gotta go up to hit that magic dose before you see action. many, many cats get more than 1.75.
you might put "dose advice?" in your subject line to see what others think about it.

Sienne and I were discussing this on Mikey's condo the other night. He did get into blue on 12/17 and this could still be a bounce from that. I do agree it looks like he needs more insulin but it looks like he is
on his way to clearing a bounce today. Let's see what his numbers are. If he gets into blue for a PMPS, you might want to hold off on the increase and see what he does. If he stays in yellow, you could increase
him tonight as long as you really monitor him closely because if he decides to kick in and clear, he might come down fast.

I didn't see the posts before I shot tonight. I have my step daughter here and it's been a little crazy trying to entertain a 14 year old. We are out all day tomorrow but Marc (DF)will be home with Mikey. If Mikey is pink/yellow for tomorrow morning is it safe to assume go up .25 to 2u for tomorrow morning shot?
