Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (TONS, MEGA TONS... DGS day, and flooded basement day.. :shock: ), and Happy Fursday!
LL beans! It is I!, Mannie, kitteh barista! For today I proudly offer Mannie's special 10 hr energy coffee, and Triple shot espressos, with beans from deep within the interior of Panama: Panama Paso Ancho, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a Venti quad blackberry infused white mocha, with apple cimmamum whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings, a dusting of cimmamum and blackberry drizzle. ....OH! Tea infusions too, by request. they is primo! I SWEAR! Today: vanilla chai!

I am sorry that I missed so many of you yesterday. Our rains are so heavy and so frequent that the ground here is over saturated. Not good, since now it has decided to enter the house. We have minimal basement flooding. I spent the evening dealing with that, moving what I can to higher ground... what fun.... Pretty soon the kitties will be able surf on their surf boards down there. :lol: :lol:

KITTIES!!!!!!! Guess what!! ONLY 5 MORE SLEEPS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!

Yesterday was..... I earned a dose increase day. Lucky Mannie! He got more juice!! Numbers have been awful since the UTI, and the Clav, and really did not improve much since the clav was completed, so.... up went the dose. I just fattened it, hopefully that will be enough to get things jump started for him. Paws crossed. It was that 500 yesterday that was the clincher. Work the juice Mannie, and down you go. Think Blue, think green! Lubs ya big guy. cat_pet_icon

All is well in Flooded MannieLand. :-D :-D Mannie was a good eater yesterday - he did well. Appy was good, only one can had to be opened. I even had a fuds dance! :cool: :cool: YAY! It was a little questionable at his last mini meal, but he did eat it. Both Mannie ad DGS were glad to see each other yesterday. We had a greeting at the top of the stairs, and once again they shared a part of breffis. It was blueberries for Nicholas, and of course Mannie wanted nothing to do with any of them. :lol: :lol: So he accepted a DGS pet instead. It was cute. We didn't have SPEED RACER yesterday, just a follower. Wherever Mannie went DGS followed. It was nice to see him not chase, but walk, and pet when Mannie stopped. Way cool. Of course there was alot of "Man-NIE!" With the rains being what they were it was a sleep day for Mannie - so not interested in the outdoors. Can't say that I blame him either... Hey - we had snow in the morning! Beautiful light snowfall for about 4 hours, until it turned to rain... This morning we had a great test, feed and shoot and clean plate club: barely (what a relief, and phew!), purrs and lots of cuddles. With encouragement, normalcy in MannieLand. :cool:

Have a great day everyone. I am back on DGS duty for the remainder of the week. I am not sure what we will do today, if we can at all - depends on the condition of the basement and whether I need to bail. :shock: :lol: It may be an aquarium day, if we can get out. I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here.. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everybody! Cookie Week continues!! We had such fun yesterday - all those cookies and all those flavors!!! I so want to do that again - you guys in? We can start in the tree-house, and go from there. I got all the stuff ready for baking... What'd'ya think??? YUMMMMMMMMMMM! Let me know - I am ready for anything, anywhere! ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: Here are some photos from DGS's and my adventures yesterday: swimming: a long solid morning of swimming. Another day where he was in that water for over two hours, and even then I had to drag him out, again. What a great time for him. It was another day of non-stop motion. Due to the awful weather we really didn't get to do much else. Nicholas was tired and took a very long nap - so so needed! Morning Michelle and oh bummer on your basement with all the rain. We had a break yesterday with the rains. You guys have had more than your fair share. Hope it is all contained now and no more flooding. Good luck with the dosecrease and hey Mannie, work that juice today, but still safe enough for your Bean and the little one to have a fun day. Have a great time today whatever evolves with the basement dilemma. Hope DGS gets in a swim. Cute pics of DGS underwater and is this the same little girl friend.

Well, way too much rain here, the basement is holding it's own, but not too much we can do until the rains lessen. So we contain the best we can. ;-) THX on the dosecrease for Mannie - I hope it will be a good one. I'm looking forward to his +2, hope it is still yellow... Paws crossed! :-D THX on the pics, and yes, he has seen and played with her before. She is a regular there too.

Maggie - awesome then - tree house it is. We cans atrt there. OOOOOOOO! please do bring your peanut butter chocolate mix! I'll make some hot tuna toddys. I think we should picks up, or at least visit Moonie too! See you at the curb! ~ Mannie

Hope Mannie's numbers stay low today and well away from the spikes of yesterday! and water stay out of Mannie's basement! They need a little sun out there in WA! Funny we just watched an episode of Portlandia last night where a herd of people were running around shirtless with beers, lawnchairs and suntan lotion, chasing one small little ray of sunlight that would appear in random places for a few minutes at a time (middle of freeway...etc)

Thanks Molly's mom, Liz, Devon, and Pat for visiting Mannie this morning. He's eating great this AM, s far the new dose is helping: a good morning. And the basement is what it is. Nothing to do but contain and wait it out. ;-) Rins are lessening somewhat so I hope that will help us.

Nicholas and I are off tho the aquarium to see the fishes, and LOL: more water!! :lol: :lol:

Oooh I love aquariums! And I've got lots of pics from my scuba diving if you ever want to show Nicholas, just let me know. Dolphins, rays, turtles, sharks, oh my!

I'm happy to see his numbers looking better, maybe that is all Mannie needs a little fattening up. Hopefully he will continue sliding down the color slide.

Sucks about the basement. Hopefully not too much water getting in and not too much damage.

Is there a warm, cozy spot for me in that tree house. So I can supervise in between naps. I'll gas up the jet, pick up fellow kitties and we'll be a coming to the west coast soon.

Bummer on the basement. We used to have the same problem in MN. Only the ground would be frozen and we'd get a thaw, so rain would come right in along the basement walls. Not a lot, just enough to soak the carpet and anything on the floor. They've solved that problem in CA, no basements! I'd trade the occasional flood for the storage place any day!

It looks like the dosecrease is just what Mannie needed. I hope he keeps surfing for you. I hope your basement isn't too bad and the rains let up soon.

Mannie, you are working that new dose just great! :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Lagoon and/or Grotto tonight, yes?

Michelle, bummer on your rains and flooded basement. I hope they let up soon. When we had the terrible flooded basement from snow melt 2 years ago we used a ShopVac to vacuum up the water and supplement the sump pump. The ShopVac worked pretty well and was much easier on the back than bailing or mopping.

Here's hoping for sunshine for you tomorrow. Mannie and Elsa need their sunny spots!

Sounds like a fun day at the acquarium with Nicholas. Great swim pics, too.

I saw sunshine in the distance today, maybe there'll be some let up from the deluge soon. Drat on the basement. I hope the kitties are OK with going down there to use the LB's. I had mine downstairs but put one upstairs when Neko needed it at the start of FD. The one downstairs is hardly used at all now. Lazy kitters.

We are still battling the basement flood, so forgive me for my lack of condo visits. I am sorry... at least the rains have stopped for abit, so maybe we can get ahead of what just keeps seeping in. Paws crossed!! :-D :-D

Nicholas and I had a great day at the Aquarium. Her really enjoys that place - alot. Runs from one area to the next, just can't wait to see what is around the corner. This was kinda of cool - at one of the tanks - the fish there seemed gravitated to him . they all swam up to his face and just hung out there. Darn cool. I will post photos in Mannie's condo tomorrow.

Thanks Wendy, Ella, Barb, Carla, Melissa, Liz, Mary, Michelle, Ann, and Hillary for visiting Mannie after Nicholas and I headed to the Aquarium. it is very much appreciated. Forgive me for not answering each post individually. It sure looks like the new dose has done what was intended: jump start the Nanner King. I had just hope for blues today, was ELATED to come home to a 76. AWESOME! :cool: :cool:
Thanks everyone too for your concern over my stoopid basement, UGH! One has to love basements... prime targets for water that has nowhere else to go. We are doing OK with it, but this will take some time. Water is everywhere. :? So far damage appears just minimal: just enough to make it all wet. FUN!

Ella - we have the shop vac going too, and a sump pump where we can. That has helped. Also have a large squeegee thing to push out large quantities. I so remember your flood basement - and the KITTY BUCKET BRIGADE! :-D THX too on the sun for the kitties. Elsa is very upset: the basement is her domain, and she can't get there. :sad:
Wendy - I had to move the LB - at the top of the stairs. They don't seem to mind, better than wading through the waters... :lol:

Look at you surfing the blue/green/aqua ocean today! You are looking good even if I say so. ha ha see what a little drop will do for you, good thing you didn't ask for more or you would really make your bean crazy!

I got a cool jet, I know. It's small and plush and oh so fun to fly and lotsa kitties fit in it very comfortably. Now that you are surfing, you can fly in my jet.

Wow Michelle - just an extra drop huh? Wow! it never ceases to amaze me that a teeny tiny amount of insulin can make such a huge difference. Yet it does nothing for a bean......I live seeing these numbers so much better than earlier this week.

Hi Hillary - yupp, just a drop. Amazing isn't it. The last time I increased him he did the same thing, so I suspected this time a drop would be enough too. Looks like it was. YAY! so so agreed on now and earlier this week - huge difference, LOL, adn I told him to think ocean. :-D

Looks like the dose increase is working for Mannie! Yay!!! He visited the lagoon yesterday and the grotto today.

Hope all is ok in the basement and you are starting to dry out.
