Re: 12/20 Binksy's Aunt- seeing improvement already :)

Sending white light, snowflakes, Positive thoughts, healing vines and Reiki to Tam. Maybe you can celebrate her birthday later. Please keep us updated on her progress. (HUGS)

Just saw the update. Fantastic news. Still sending the above. Come on Tam, you can do this.

Re: 12/20 Binksy's Aunt- seeing improvement already :)

So very pleased to hear the good news! Happiest of B'days to Auntiebean and continued prayers and healing vines are on the way.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

*sung to the tune of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer"

"Binksy got ejected by the nurses,
When he went to visit Auntie Bean.
The air was filled with colorful cat curses.
All in all it was a most disruptive scene.

They may think they found a permanent solution.
Being bum rushed through the lobby isn't fun.
But since it is a Catholic Institution-
Next visit Binks is going disguised as a nun!"

What a debacle! I really had no trouble smuggling him in- I had him in his Infant Carrying Sling that you cradle against your chest...
and I even put a little baby sailor's cap over his ears. Tam begged me to bring him to see her...
and the darling little bugger was so quiet and well-behaved... even through his first elevator ride!
But she insisted on holding him...and his visit was cut cruelly short the minute one of the nurses saw him on the bed :o
He wasn't nearly as complacent on the way out. :-D

Ah, well...the whole scenario gave her much needed cuddles and a laugh.

She was thrilled to get breakfast AND lunch (we'll have to wait a while on birthday cake)
but we did open some presents and had phone calls from DB and friends.

MRI scheduled this evening...and maybe we'll get a better insight into what's going on.
We were both chuckling over her slightly slurred speech...you should hear her calling "Binkshie"
But she seems to be less disoriented, so that's encouraging.

I realize it was a little off-topic to post a "hoomin condo"...
but I can't begin to tell you how meaningful and heartwarming your support is.
You've brought tears to my eyes and solace to my soul.

Deep and abiding gratitude to you...
We really love you guys!

Celi & the Furgang

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

   (((((Celi))))) and (((((Tam))))), you two are quite the pair. Thank you for posting, Celi, I have been thinking of you both all day and sending healing energy to Tam for a speedy recovery.
Liz

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Celi, what a miracle that Tam is doing so well. I know seeing "Binkshie", so cute, had to also lighten her spirits. In his infant carrying sling at that, and he got caught! Great Tam is eating and has an appetite. Hugs, prayers and love to her and you from us.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

The power of the brain, the power of Lantus Land - and what the heck, the power of Binks! So happy you're getting good news for Christmas, Celi. Sending you and Tamara healing thoughts and vines.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

What a great story! I can see it unfolding!! So glad Tam enjoyed Binksy's visit. After all, those nurses should be told that Binks is a certified therapy cat.

More healing vines are on their way tonight, as well as positive thoughts for the MRI.

Hugs to you all,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. great lyrics, Celi!

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Bless me sister Binkshie for I have shinned. I have gone my entire life without confession (well, a sober one anyway) and I'm not even Cat-olic! Those darn nurses - they have no sense of humor. Don't they know laughter IS medicine? How can they be worried about a therapy cat? Must have been upset by the sailor hat - army nurses maybe?

Hope the MRI shows enough functioning neurons to break Tam outta there as soon as possible. With those grumps, Santa may just fly on by! Don't give them any birthday cake, no matter how much they covet a piece.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Hello to all of you.

'Doc' logging on as I prepare to join Celi and Tammy up at the hospital. Celi suggested that I check the forum while feeding the cats, and I must tell you it is easy for me to see why she is so positive about this group. :) What a beautiful thing you are doing here. I add my appreciation to hers. We have been best friends for a very long time, and I know your expressions of support mean the world to her. I will soon be unpopular here in Boise as I question my Idaho colleagues in re:Tammy's case, but it will not be the first time LOL. The picture Harley and Pattie added of the Thingamababy carrier is accurate, except Binks has a tiger-striped pattern on his. :) Celi will share news as soon as she can.

Thank you,
Lisa

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Hello, again.

I just want to note that I did tell her not to let them spot Binks at the hospital LOLOL.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Marje, where did you ever find that picture. Hysterical!!

Celi, I'm so happy to hear that your sis is doing better. I can't believe they gave you a hard time bringing Binks to see her. Thanks for the very creative poem/song.

Give your sis a big hug from everyone here on LL.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Only you Celi! I'm so glad Tam is feeling well enough to want to see Binks! I think having you two there would be good therapy for th whole floor. :-D

Mike you beat me to it!

Just give them the Gracie stink eye next time Binksy! -- Tess

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

So glad to hear Tamara is doing better. What a visual, smuggling Binksie in - LOL!!!

Mike - what a classic!!!

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

She is awake, coherent, and nagging everyone for breakfast
(cuz hospital cuisine is better than the nursing home fare, apparently) :-D
moving this morning from the ICU to a regular room...

My heart is filled past full and is now overflowing. What a wonderful awesome expect nothing less from Celi's sister update!!!!!

And the binks day of drama made me laugh.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

aw, i'm just seeing this and it seems the crisis has passed. great news. and i LOVE it that you smuggled Binksy into the hospital. absolutely awesome! :-D

sometimes it's better to ask forgiveness later than permission in advance . . .

continuing to send love and healing to idaho!

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

I cannot believe you smuggled Binks into the hospital    That is so awesome! I'm glad it cheered your sister up. Hope she continues to improve and gets out of the hospital soon.

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

Happy Birthday to your sis!! Many wishes and prayers for a great recovery. I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers....
I know Binks is better therapy than any of the nuns I knew as a child!!
Can you say incorrigible?

Re: 12/20 My Auntie - A BINKS MUSICAL PROTEST :)

More healing vines and best wishes for a quick recovery for your sister.
Good job on getting Binks into the hospital ;-)

I'm having trouble finding the words to express my feelings, guys...
so I'll simply say- you are the BEST community I have ever been blessed to be a part of.

Tamara did have a stroke...but in the scheme of things, not a catastrophic event.
We are cautiously optimistic that she can return to the nursing home Saturday,
and continued improvement will allow us to bring her home for part of the day on Christmas :-D :-D
And Doc is staying in town through the holiday, so when asked "Is there a doctor in the house?" we can say "YES!"
That's a big reassurance.

The residual effects are still visible, but her improvement is, IMHO, nothing less than miraculous.
(anther lantus land miracle)
The best example I can share is when the doctor said "it was not a minor stroke, or temporary ischemic attack- TIA"
Tam said "more like TIAW"...and laughed.
(for those of you unfamiliar with the TIAW acronym...it stands for "T... in a wringer")

When I told her about your posts, she cried. I can't wait to show them to her.
(Heck...when I READ your posts, I cried)

And this little piggy is headed off to bed for a long winter's nap...so rather than respond to each post...
will humbly say "Thank you ALL. We really love you guys, and treasure your friendship!"

Although 'Sister Mary Binkshie' ( anne & liz) LOVED the costume pics...
but wants Cabanabean to know we may have nightmares bout his kitty nuns pic!

with love & heartfelt thanks-

Celi, Tam, and the girls

Wonderful wonderful news! I missed it yesterday, but was not surprised to find out the shenanigans you tried to play on the hospital. Oh only Celi and Binks! I can picture it all and how it unfolded. Sounds like you had those nuns in a tizzy.   At least Tam got a good laugh out of it and got to see Binks.

Have a wonderful evening Celi! I am so happy and have been praying so hard for DS. Hugs to all of you and an extra scritch to Binksy!

Hey Binks! I heard you gots busted. Wow. What was it like? Proud of you. You should be able to see your aunt when you want. - Your Friend Tarrie

(((((CELI and TAM))))) Succh great news- and she can hopefully come for part of Christmas! WOW, what a blessing. And ohmygoodness, this condo. I have a side cramp from laughing. Poor Binks getting thrown out of the hospital. :o

For something that started as rather sober news, Binks once again has the condo of the day! Heck, the week! Thanks for the smile, I needed that!

so glad to hear Tam is doing better. if ya have a sense of humor, you're doing ok! my dad could make anybody laugh. it's a blessing. you've got the talent too, celi!

hugs, hope today was even better.

and a little BWAHAHAHA on the pictures above!

Wow, fabulous news! It is really great to excel at something, but please tell Tam three strokes (and/or brain bleeds) are quite enough!
And how wonderful to have a doc in the house, will she do house calls for other LL kitties or is Sistah Mary Binkshie special? Wish I could have been a fly on the bedpan for the "I disagree with you doctor" doc to doc chat! :o

Perhaps if you had smuggled the Binkster in to the hospital dressed as a doctor?

So glad to hear this great report for Tam. Please let her know we all think of her fondly and continue to send her healing wishes and prayers.

Although 'Sister Mary Binkshie' ( anne & liz) LOVED the costume pics...
but wants Cabanabean to know we may have nightmares bout his kitty nuns pic!
See what happens when I go to bed early and he is free to roam the internet looking for creepy photos?

Oh Celi, here I am, late as usual. I'm so sorry to hear that Tam had a setback, but very happy to hear that she is rebounding.
What a crummy place to have to spend her birthday......on the other hand, hmmm the food is better.
Adding my prayers to all the others. This board is mighty! We will get Tam better.
Now get your sweet self off this thing, and spoil yourself a bit...hear?
Big hug from Barb and head butts from your furry friend, Chex
